SWIFT, Robert George-Age 55, Director of Clinical Products with Healthcare Management Systems in Nashville, concluded his two and a half year battle with cancer in peace on April 29, 2006, at his home in Gallatin surrounded by his family and friends. Mr. Swift, a Gallatin native, received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, followed by a Master of Science in Hospital Pharmacy, both from the University of Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 1st, from 4-8 p.m. at Family Heritage Funeral Home.

The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Gallatin with the Internment to follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gallatin Public Library or American Cancer Society. He has joined his late father, Robert George Swift, and is survived by his wife, Schelle; his son, Robert Courtney and daughter, Erin Frances, as well as his mother, Frances B. On April 29, 2006, Mary Jane Windham, wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and faithful servant of Jesus Christ, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving husband, children, and grandchildren. Born Mary Jane Rice on October 20, 1937, the daughter of Jerre Baxter and Wille Close Rice, she was raised in Smithville, TN. She graduated from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a B.S. in Home Economics, was a member of the Alpha Omega Pi sorority, and earned her Masters Degree in Guidance Counseling from Middle Tennessee State University.

On July 15, 1960, she married her best friend and childhood sweetheart, Gene Aurbon Windham. An esteemed educator in child development, Mrs. Windham taught in the Knoxville City, Franklin County, Sumner County, Rutherford County, and Davidson County school systems, retiring in 1998 after serving over 20 years at Overton High School. She was a Sunday school teacher, choir member, accomplished pianist, avid reader, and defender of the faith. A charter member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Nashville, she also faithfully served and supported the Stephen Ministry, Women's Prison Fellowship, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Young Life, and the Autism Society of Middle Tennessee.

Mrs. Windham is preceded in death by her parents and is survived in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Gene Aurbon Windham; daughter, Elizabeth Jane "Wendy" Windham Parsons and her husband John Philip Parsons; son, John David Windham and his wife Heather Jefferson Windham; grandchildren, John Benjamin Parsons, Emily Elizabeth Parsons, Philip Alexander Parsons, Natalie Jane Parsons, Sarah Ruth Parsons, Maizy Baxter Windham, Woods McCune Windham, and Rebecca Brooke Parsons; her beloved brother, James Ed Rice, Sr. and his wife Lillian E. Rice; brother-in-law, Joe Wayne Windham and his wife Barbara Faye Vanatta Windham; nieces, Trina Rice Graham, Tammy Rice Allen, and Terry Rice Puckett; and nephews, James Ed Rice, Joe Marshall Rice, and William Joe "Punt" Windham. Greer is also survived by her daughter, Judy (Ray) Baird of Brentwood; grandchildren, Ben Blakeley of Marietta, GA, Caroline Blakeley Lytle of Kennesaw, GA, and Patrick Blakeley of Brentwood; one great grandson.
