6A, NEWS, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1, 1994 OBITUARIES Alton Gerald Duckworth Alton Gerald Duckworth, 51, retired Oil and Gas Experation, of Magee died Saturday, November 26, 1994 of heart failure at Magee General Hospital in Magee. Services were 4 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 1994 at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel of Magee with burial in Goodwater Cemetery in Magee. Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee handled the arrangements. Mr.

Duckworth was a native of Simpson County and a member of Goodwater Baptist Church. Survivors include 3 sons: Mark Duckworth Magee, Chris Duckworth Magee, Greg Duckworth Magee; 5 brothers: A.W. Duckworth Mendenhall, Billy Duckworth Monticello, Joseph Duckworth Huntsville, Lester C. Duckworth Jackson, Willie Charles Duckworth, Jr. Jackson; 4 sisters: Wilda Shofner Jackson, Myrtle M.

Polonchak San Josa, Dorothy Dean Mendenhall, Linda Lucas Charlotte, N.C.; 4 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Andrew W. Easterling Andrew W. Easterling, 73, retired farmer, of Raleigh died Friday, November 25, 1994 of heart failure at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Services were 11 a.m.

Monday, November 28, 1994 at Jesus Name Church in Raleigh with burial in 1 Easterling Cemetery in Smith County. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh handled the arrangements. Mr. Easterling was a native of Louisiana. Survivors include wife: Christine B.

Easterling Raleigh; 5 sons: Wade Easterling Raleigh, Clifton Easterling Bryan, Texas, Harold Easterling Mize, Sherman Easterling Bryan, Texas, Thomas Easterling Raleigh; 4 daughters: Gracie Weaver Brandon, Joyce Stuckey Mt. Olive, Judy Batte Raleigh, Marilyn Chase Brandon; 4 half-brothers: Will Easterling Raleigh, Ralph Easterling Raleigh, Hollis Easterling Raleigh, Dan Easterling Magee; 4 half-sisters: Gladdis Colburn Caldonia, Mary Williams Stringer, Undean Hegwood Brandon, Velma Buffington Raleigh; 28 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Bertie Meadows Walker Mrs. Bertie Meadows Walker, 98, of Magee died Friday, No- vember 25, 1994 of heart failure at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee. She was born November 14, 1896.

Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mims Mitchell Chapel with burial in the Sharon Cemetery. Her pastor, Rev. John Coleman and her great-nephew, Rev. George Edward Meadows, conducted the services.

Her great-niece, Mrs. Nancy V. Kennedy and her greatgreat niece provided the music. Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee handled the arrangements. Survivors include a large number of nieces and nephews.

Her late husband Franklin Augustus Walker preceded her in death on December 10, 1943. The native of the Corcord Community in Smith County was the last surviving child of the late Henry D. and Rosetta Walker Kennedy Meadows. Her grandparents, Mobley and Sarah Stephens Meadows were Smith County Pioneers. Mrs.

Walker was a member of Athens Baptist Church of Mendenhall for 70 years and had resided in Magee for many years. Her great nephew, Rev. George E. Meadows epitomized her "All who knew her spoke of her consistent Christian lifestyle and her winsome smile. All I knew about her was good.

She loved everybody and never spoke evil of anyone." Ladelvimen Traxler Ladelvimen Traxler a one month old infant died November 24, 1994 at Magee General Hospital. Services were 1 p.m. Monday, November 28, 1994 at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall. The Rev. Irvin Keys officiated.

Reeves Funeral Home of Mt. Olive handled the arrangements. Survivors include mother: La Shundra Traxler Mendenhall; father: Cornelious Kemp Mendenhall; grandmother: La Wanda Traxler Mendenhall, grandfather: Randolph Traxler Mendenhall. Saturday, November 26, 1994 at Shivers Baptist Church with burial in Owens Cemetery. Upton Funeral Home of Mendenhall handled the arrangements. Mrs. Toler was a native of Lawrence County, MS, a member of Shivers Baptist Church and the widow of James Edwin Toler. She was also retired from Magnetek Manufacturing Company.

Survivors include 1 daughter: Helen Lucas Pinola; 1 sister: Carroll McCraw Harrisville; 2 brothers: Watson Berry Mendenhall, Clarence Berry Magee; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Mrs. Lou Ella Morrow Mrs. Lou Ella Morrow, 72, nurse's aid, of Pearl died Friday, November 18, 1994 at River Oaks Hospital in Jackson. Services were 11 a.m.

Monday, November 21, 1994 at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial in church cemetery. Rev. Allen Foster and Rev. Don Rynes officiated the service. Mrs.

Morrow was a member of Victory Congregational Methodist Church of Florence. Survivors include husband: A.C. Morrow Pearl; 2 sons: Albert D. Morrow Pearl, James Morrow Pearl; 2 grandchildren: Jamie Morrow Pearl, Nathan Morrow Pearl; 3 sisters: Ollie Kennedy Puckett, Elcenia Gates Puckett, Bonnie Matthews Jackson; 2 brothers: Harrison Craft Magee, Nelson Craft Columbus, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were nephews and the funeral directors were Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home of Jackson.
