Circle. Drive, Catasauqua. A daughter was born Thursday to Mr. and Mrs. Paritosh Ghatak of 510 Johnston Drive, Bethlehem.

WARREN A son was born Friday in Warren Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Andrews of 314 Berwick Easton. PALMERTON A daughter was born yesterday in Palmerton Hospital to Mr. and Mrs.

Shane Dreher of 144 S. 3rd Lehighton. Clinical director at Gracedale Mrs. Lorraine Barthold, 51, of Bath R.l, died Saturday in Easton Hospital. She was a nurse for Dr.

Frank V. Thompson of Nazareth, and was clinical director at Gracedale, Nazareth R.l. She was the wife of Forrest A. Barthold. She was a graduate of the Easton Hospital School of Nursing.

Born in Belfast, she was a daughter of Mrs. William Yoder of Bangor R.2, and the late Charles Musselman. Surviving besides her mother and husband are four daughters, Mrs. Keith Dietz and Mrs. Robert Morgan, both of Bethlehem, Mrs.

Todd Bensing of Nazareth and Kerry, at home; three sons, Reid of Nazareth, and Beau and Ryan, both at home, and a grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Moorestown. Calling hours will be noon Monday until the time of services.

John J. Chuck John J. Chuck, 59, of 728 Main Tatamy, died Saturday in Easton Hospital. He was a truck driver for the Trumbo-wer Nazareth. He previously worked for Ben Johnson Associates, Bangor.

His widow is the former Velma Heck-man. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Adam and Anna (Lykits) Chuck. An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Theater. His widow is his only immediate survivor. Services will be at 2 p.m.

Tuesday in the Schmidt Mortuary, 357 Belvidere Nazareth. Calling hours will be from noon Tuesday until time of services. Mrs. Flora Lancaster Mrs. Flora M.

Lancaster, 89, formerly of Bangor, died Saturday in the Lutheran Home, Germantown. Her husband George died more than 20 years ago. TamGqua native dies in crash Mrs. Milton Caldwell, 67, a Tamaqua native, was killed Friday in an automobile accident near Clearwater, Fla. She was the former Virginia Carter, daughter of the late Truman and Hannah (Keller) Carter.

Nicholas Marcin Nicholas Marcin, 78, of Gordon Allentown, died Saturday' in the Mount Trexler Skilled Nursing Unit of Sacred Heart Hospital, Limeport. He was the husband of Anna (Pavlik) Marcin. Marcin was a crane operator for the Bethlehem Steel Corp. before retiring in 1862. Born in Czechoslovakia, he was a son of the late Michael and Anna (Kekel) Marcin.

He came to this country in 1912. He was a member of the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, Allentown. Surviving besides his widow are a daughter Mary, wife of Michael Shelan-ick of Whitehall Township; two sons, Michael of Allentown and Joseph of Center Valley; a brother John of Allentown, and four Services at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge Allentown, will be followed by a Divine Liturgy at 9 a.m. in the church.

Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Monday. Clarence I. Diehl Clarence I. Diehl, 67, of Main Street, Alburtis, died Saturday in the Allentown Osteopathic Hospital.

He was employed by the Bally Case and Cooler Bally. He was the husband of the late Elsie L. (Gracely) Diehl. Born in Emmaus, he was a son of the late Robert M. and Addie (Wagner) Diehl.

Surviving are a daughter Dolores, wife of Ernest Haas of Barto R.l; a son, Robert C. of Macungie R.l, and two grandchildren. Services will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being made through the Schmoyer Funeral Home, Breinigsville.

Bangor, died Friday in his home. He was a threader at the Pen Argyl plant of Collins and Aikman Corp. before retiring five years ago. His wife, Eva (Rotzell) Bennett, died in 1959. Harvey E.

Kocher Harvey E. Kocher, 67, of Orefield R.2, a machine operator at Western Electric Allentown, before retiring in 1972, died Saturday in Allentown Hospital. He was the husband of Susan M. (Smith) Kocher. Born in Lowhill Township, he was a son of the late Harry and Emma (Heintzel-man) Kocher.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Lowhill Union Church, New Tripoli R.2. Surviving besides his widow are a son, Harry T. of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter Kathryn, wife of Francis Watt of Kemp-ton R.l; five stepsons, Russell Jones of Owings, Clair Jones of Tucson, William Jones of Allentown R.4, Harold Jones of Palmerton, and Donald Jones of New Britain, Bucks County; a stepdaughter, Jean, wife of Clayton Meinhart of Palmerton R.2; a brother, Clayton of Orefield R.2; a sister Florence, wife of Granville Billig of New Tripoli R.l; four grandchildren, 16 stepgrandchildren, and five stepgreat-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Gilbert F.

Long are seven stepgreat-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Long, 92, died Thursday in the Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Union Deposit, Dauphin County. He resided at the Odd Fellows Home, Middletown, Dauphin County. George M. Reichard, 61, a past president of the Catasauqua Public Library's board of directors and a former member of the Catasauqua School Board, died Saturday in the Monroe Hospital, East Stroudsburg.

Reichard resided at 1440 Walnut, Allentown. He was the husband of Ruth (Rowland) Reichard. He was an assistant purchasing agent for the Pennsylvania Power Light Co. before retiring in 1968. Afterward he did' public relations work for the First National Bank of Allentown until 1973.

He was elected to the school board in 1948. He was elected president of the library board of directors in 1963. He was a past master of Porter Lodge 284 Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of Edith (Shellard) Reichard of Bethlehem and the late Gustavus A. Reichard. He was a member of St.

Paul's Lutheran Church, Catasauqua. Youth injured in bus-car crash A 16-year-old Easton youth was treated for a head injury after a school bus-car accident Friday morning in Lower Nazareth Township. David Hack of 2309 Third Avona Heights, Easton, was a passenger on a Colonial Northampton Intermediate Unit 20 bus, operated by Marian Ott of Easton R. 4. He was taken to Easton Hospital by another school bus driver, treated and released.

Nazareth police said Stephen Silkunas of 62 Hunter Tamaqua, was traveling east on Newburg Road near Route 191, when he swerved to avoid a car stopped in front of him. His car collided with the bus which was westbound on Newburg Road. The area was foggy, police said. Addressing a Founder's Day audience of 150 persons in Stockertown Memorial Hall, Rhoads said, "We must look at the students we are graduating to see if we like the kind of persons we are turning out." Rhoads said students must be taught discipline with love. They must be given a sense of affirmation, a sease of responsibility, a sense of belonging and a sense of wonder, he said.

The council honored Albert M. Lerch, assistant to the superintendent of the Northampton High School District. Mrs. Albert Hordendorf presented Lerch with an honorary Pennsylvania state life membership in the PTA in recognition of his service to his school and community. Mrs.

Werner. Born in Durham, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Ulysses S. and Ora (Dority) Suitt. She was a bank teller in Wachovia, N.C., before retiring in 1965. Surviving besides her husband are a son, Albert Jr.

of Creve Coeur, two daughters, Agnes, wife of Ralph Graham of Raleigh, N.C., and Jennie, wife of Dr. Wayne Rideout of Wilson, N.C. two stepsons, Jack Werner, at home, and Robert E. Werner with the Peace Corps in Korea; two stepdaughters, Elizabeth, wife of Michael Horwath of Bethlehem, and Wendy J. Werner of Denver, and a sister Hattie, wife of John Williams of Chapel Hill, N.C.

Local arrangements are being made through the Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland Allentown. Frank J. Miller Frank J. Miller, 67, of 1430 Detweiler Hellertown, died Saturday in St. Luke's Hospital.

Before retiring, he was assistant general foreman of coke chemical byproducts for the Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was the husband of the former Helen Reitter. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Joseph J. and Katherine (Lang) Miller. He was a member of St.

Theresa's Catholic Church, Hellertown. Surviving besides his widow are a son, Frank at home; a brother, Joseph J. of Kintnersville R.l, and two grandchildren. Services at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Falk Funeral Home, 1418 Main Hellertown, will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.

Print firm to start pollution control The owner of Ironton Prints, 16th Washington streets, Wilson, has announced that the company's pollution control system is to begin operation this week. The company was fined $511 this summer by Justice of the Peace Fred J. Pacchioli for violation of borough zoning ordinances which prohibit air pollution.

Neighbors testified at the hearing that the plant gives off an obnoxious odor. The odor is allegedly caused when oil in fabrics on which the firm prints designs evaporates during heating. The firm has appealed Pacchioli's decision. The new equipment consists of fiberglass bags to purify the emissions, and a blower motor to draw the air into the bags, according to owner Jack May. The system will eliminate 95 per cent of the odors.

A county judge is to review testimony given at the previous hearing. New films at library The Allentown Public Library has acquired a number of new films and film-strips for adults and children, as well as five film slide sets. The 12 new films deal with adult subjects such as alcohol and the metric system, as well as children's favorites like Dr. Seuss and nature films. The 109 children's filmstrips cover a wide range of subjects.

Filmstrip sets which include long-playing records are also available. Mrs. Jessie L. Werkheiser, formerly of Bath, died Wednesday in Marshalltown, Iowa, where she resided. She was the widow of Robert Werkheiser Sr.

of Bath. Among her survivors are eight stepsons, Leo, Paul and Marvin, all of Allentown, Nevin of Danielsville, Roland of Walnutport, Robert Jr. and Charles, both of Bath, and Norman of Tunkhannock, Wyoming County; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Elsie Eberly, Mrs. Hilda Hottle, Mrs.

Evelyn Bond and Mrs. Helen Dan-ner, all of Bath, and Mrs. Ruth Derham-mer of Danielsville; a grandchild, three great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, and 37 stepgrandchildren and 40 stepgreat-grandchildren. Services were held Friday in Marshall-town. Alois Stranzl Alois Stranzl, 82, of 523 Center Cop-lay, died Saturday in his home.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Anna Walakovitz, with whom he resided, J.Iary, wife of Joseph Lombardo of Phil-lipsburg, N.J., Theresa, wife of Edward Seitz of Allentown; six sons, Frank and Stephen, both of Northampton, John, Anthony and William, all of Allentown and Adolf of Coplay; a sister, Mrs. Hedwig Furst of Burgenland, Austria; 24 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Services at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Robert A.

Hilda M. Hockman Mrs. Hilda M. Hockman, 75, of 1701 Northampton Wilson, died Friday in Easton Hospital. She was the widow of Edgar Hockman.

Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Laura (Walter) Seip. She was a member of Arndt's Lutheran Church, Easton R.2. Surviving are four sons, Elmer of Wilson, Ervin of Phillipsburg, James of Palmer Township, and Larry of Sickler-ville, N.J.; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Grecnleaf of Easton and Mrs. Florence Beck of Wilson, and 13 grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Monday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 14th and Northampton streets, Easton. Mrs.

Elsie M. Kessler Mrs. Elsie M. Kessler, 80, formerly of Kesslerville, died Saturday in the Eastwood Convalescent Home, Wilson. Her husband, Aaron died in 1964.

Born in Northampton County, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Ida (Jones) Schug. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Giarch, Tatamy. Surviving are two sons, Stanley L. of Easton R.2 and Melvin F. of Nazareth R.3; two daughters, Mrs.

Earl Fraunfel-ter of Bangor R.2 and Mrs. Florence 1 Rothrock of Mount Bethel; a brother Floyd of Phillipsburg; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Schmidt Mortuary, 357 Belvidere Nazareth. Calling hours will be after 7 p.m.
