DAN FREE PRESS STAFF WRITER Private investigators are seeking fresh information on the 2004 disappearance of Brianna Maitland in Montgomery, in which foul play is suspected. Maitland, then 17, was last seen March 19 of that year at the Black Lantern Inn, where she was an employee.

Her car was found abandoned at a nearby farmhouse. Family members have offered $10,000 to anyone who can locate Maitland or her remains and an additional $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for her disappearance, according to a release from the Center for the Resolution of Unresolved Crime. The Vermont State Police, on its missing-persons website, has further information on the case, and posts a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the resolution of this case leading to an arrest and conviction. The crime-resolution center is hosting a phone-in and walk-in campaign to solicit tips from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
