MORNING CALL, Allentown, March 20, 1974 Deaths of the Day Harvey J. Nolf, 94, of 42 N. 6th St. rear, home. Emmaus, died Tuesday in his He was a tenance man at the Air Products Emmaus plant, until retiring in 1958.

He and his wife, Ida L. (Sterner) Nolf, observed their 57th anniversary last year. His first wife, Susan (Muth) Nolf, died in 1913. Born in Lower Nazareth Township, he was a son of the late Jacob and Maria (Speer) Nolf. He was a member of St.

John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus. Surviving besides his widow are a foster daughter, Mrs. Sadie Cope of Allentown R.2, and a brother Robert of Nazareth. will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm Emmaus.

Calling hours will be p.m. Thursday. Samuel Gardner Dies at Age 65 Harvey J. Nolf Succumbs at 94 Samuel Gardner, 65, of 635 N. Glenwood Allentown, died Tuesday in his home.

He was assistant showroom lighting sales manager for Allen Electric, Allentown. He was the husband of Mae S. (Granat) Gardner. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Arthur and Dora (Weinstock) Gardner. Gardner was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

He was a member of Congregation Keneseth Israel, Surviving besides his widow are two sons, Richard and Lawrence Schwartz, both of Allentown; two daughters, Toby, wife of Alan Tepper of Scranton, and Mrs. Shelly Margolis of Princeton, N.J.; two sisters, Lillian, wife of Lew Broch of Miami Beach, and Mrs. Celia Redcay of Lansdale; two brothers, Nathan Gardner of Millville, N.J., and Joseph Gardner of Lansdale, and 11 grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Congregation Keneseth Israel.

He was the husband of Eva (Bierl) I Rosetti. The one-car accident was on Route 209 in Nesquehoning. The car veered off a curve and crashed into a concrete building. Rosetti received internal injuries and multiple fractures. Rosetti spent most of his life in New York City.

He owned and operated Rosetti's Bar Grill 92 Second Ave. He retired 1973 and moved to Palmerton. He was an Army veteran World War II. Born in New York City, was a son of the late William and Rose (DiTietro) Rosetti. He was a member of Most Holy Redeemer Church, New York City.

Surviving besides his widow are two daughters, Nancy, wife of Philip Russo of Long Island, and Joan of New York City; son Thomas of Brooklyn; a stepson, James Dennean of Long lanmd; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Rosetti of New Rochelle, N.Y.; Theresa, wife of Louis Pasquale of Mount Vernon, N.Y., and Angelina, wife of Anthony Palone of New Rochelle; a brother Salvatore Lyndhurst, N.J., and six grandchildren. Fulton Allentown, died Sunday in the Sara Newman Nursing Home, Mamaroneck, N.Y. She was the widow of Harry Spiro. Mrs. Spiro was born in Russia. Surviving are two sons, Jacob Spiro of Allentown and Emanuel Spiro New York; two daughters, Nettie, wife of David Finkle of Palm Beach, and Rose, wife of Ruben Viener of Boca Raton, 11 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.

She was the widow of Louis Conrad. While in Emmaus, Mrs. Conrad resided with her daughter and late son-in-law, Mr.

and Mrs. Milton Miller. They owned the former Mix Match Hotel, Emmaus. Mrs. Conrad lived in the area from 1949 to 1967, when she moved to Forksville.

Born in Altoona, she was a daughter, of the late Henry and Rose (Mayer) Wittmer. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Esther M. Miller of Forksville R.D a son Louis of Allentown, with whom she resided while living in this area; a sister, Mrs. Lydia I.

Acker Dies; Directed Band Radio President Dies; Owned School Special to The Morning Call POTTSVILLE Kenneth Maguire, 59, president of Miners Broadcasting Service, with radio stations in Pottsville and Lansford, died Tuesday at his in Edgeworth, Allegheny County. He was the husband of Phyllis Maguire. He was an original partner in the broadcasting service, organized in 1945. It operates WPAM, Pottsville, and WLSH, Lansford. He began his professional career as a teacher at the McCann School of Business, Mahanoy City, in 1936.

He bought the school in Hazleton in 1937 and was president 1937-55. With his sister, Mrs. Edna Ford of Pottsville, he founded the Ford School of Business in Pottsville in 1938. He graduated from Mahanoy City High School and Harvard College. Born in Mahanoy City, he was a son of the late John and Mary Maguire.

Surviving besides his widow and sister are a son Kenneth of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Marian of Boston and Phyllis of Bryn Mawr, Montgomery County, and another sister, Marian of Youngstown, Ohio. Ernest H. Kratzer Ernest H. Kratzer, 58, of 1733 S. Church Apt.

8, Allentown, died Tuesday in his home. He was the husband of Violet D. (Ziegler) Kratzer. He was a janitor at the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital until becoming ill in September. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Charles and Irene (Miller) Kratzer.

Surviving besides his widow are two sons, Franklin of Bethlehem R.4 and Wayne, at home; two stepdaughters, Nancy, wife of Paul Bogert of Bethlehem R.4, and Joan, wife of Carl Mann of Allentown; a sister Evelyn, wife of Stephen Martrich of Allentown, and nine grandchildren. Mrs. Sophie Lederberg Mrs. Sophie "Peggy" Lederberg, 73, of 1036 N. Main Allentown, was dead on arrival at Allentown Hospital Tuesday. She was the widow of Charles Lederberg.

Born in Baltimore, she was a daughter of the late William and Sadie Brown. She was a member of Congregation Keneseth Israel, Allentown. Surviving are a son Arthur, with whom she resided; a brother Morris of Washington, and two grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Congregation Keneseth Israel.

and Amelia R. (Wentzell) Kemmerer. She was a member of the Interdenominational Church of Clearfield, Bushkill Township. Surviving besides her husband are a son Marvin of Orlando, two daughters, Mrs. Robert Shafer of Raubsville and Mrs.

Robert Meckes of Allentown; a brother, Bath R.1, and 11 grandchildren." Berg was a cook for the River View Lodge, now the Gourmet Inn, Northampton R.1. Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Flory (Lindenmoyer) Weitknecht. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Northampton. Surviving with her husband are a son, Wilbert W.C. Northampton R.2; sister, Grace Weitknecht of Allentown, four grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Sigmund Yanick Mrs. Helen Yanick, 57, of 17 W. High Nesquehoning, died Monday in Coaldale Hospital. She was the wife of Sigmund Yanick. She was employed at the Howard Johnson Restaurant on Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike until becoming ill recently.

Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Anastasia Malinchoc. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, Nesquehoning. Surviving besides her husband are three sons, John, address unknown; Eugene of Bethlehem, and Dennis of Nesquehoning; three brothers, Nicholas of Nesquehoning, Michael of the Bronx and Stephen of New York City; two sisters, Mary, wife of Horace Penny of New York and Anna of Burbank, and four grandchildren. will be at 9:30 a.m.

Born in Sulinci, Austria-Hungary, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Theresa (Zarinski) Casazar. She had lived in the Bethlehem area 65 years. She was a member of St. John's Windish Lutheran Church, Bethlehem. Surviving are four sons, Alexlander and Stephen, both at home, and Peter and Louis Kerecz, both of Bethlehem Township; three daughters, Irene, at home, and Theresa Burgermeister and Mrs.

Kristine both of Bethlehem Township; a brother Joseph, in Austria-Hungary; a sister, Mrs. Anna Bogar of Bethlehem; 14 grandchildren, and 13 greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the church. Calling hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Barbara Ann Micolochick Barbara Ann Micolochick, 12-year-old daughter of Andrew and Helen (Szabo) Micolochick of 2912 Christine Bethlehem Township, died Tuesday in St. Luke's Hospital after an illness.

She was born in Bethlehem. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Surviving besides her parents are a sister Sharon Ann, at home, and her paternal grandfather, John Micolochick, and maternal grandfather Joseph Szabo, both of Bethlehem. Services will be at 9 a.m.

Dorothy Stemler Mrs. Dorothy Stemler, 71, of 230 Center Jim Thorpe, died Tuesday in her home. Her husband, Harold Q. Stemler, died last April. She was a member of St.

Joseph's Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe. She was a daughter of the late Charles and Agnes Dierkes. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Styre of Nazareth; a son Quinton of Harding, Luzerne County; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Sauerman of Philadelphia and Mrs.

Caroline Koch and Mrs. Mary Gombert, both of Lehighton; a brother Philip of Lehighton, and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday in the Guman Funeral Home, 123 Center Jim Thorpe, followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in the church.

He was the husband of Edith (Rickert) Acker. He was elementary art specialist of the Allentown School District; he was employed by district 25 years. had taught elementary music once taught band, orchestra and instruments at Raub Junior High School. Acker was art supervisor and director of the Slatington High School Band 1936-42. He was subsequently employed in the engineering department of the former Aldrich Pump Allentown, for some time.

He had been conductor of the Allentown Juvenile Band and was a member of the Allentown Band 45 years. He played flute and piccolo. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Warren F. Acker, a former music director at Allen High School, and Helen M. (Moyer) Acker, both of Allentown.

He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Allentown. Surviving besides his widow and parents are two daughters, Carol, wife of Dr. Joseph G. Gackenbach of Allentown, an Sharon, at home, and two grandchildren. Services will be at the convenience of the family in the Stephens Funeral Home, 1335-37 Linden Allentown.

Bertsch Lansford, was fatally stricken Tuesday. He was dead on arrival at Crozier Medical Center, Chester. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Puskar) DeLauretis. He was a sales representative for Ingersoll-Rand Montgomeryville, Montgomery County. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in France.

He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Lansford. He graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy in 1943. Born in Lansford, he was a son of the late Peter A. and Josephine (Piazzia) DeLauretis Sr.

His stepmother, Congetta (Piazzia) DeLauretis, died Nov. 5. A sister, Mrs. Anne Bottomley died in 1972. Surviving besides his widow are two daughters, Monica, wife of Thomas Hart of Ashley, and Nancy, at home; two brothers, Robert of Lansford and Joseph of Mount Arlington, N.J.; a sister Irene, wife of Santo Simonette of Easton; two stepsisters, Mamie, wife of Joseph Colancecco of Schenectady, N.Y., and Theresa, wife of Thomas Stianche of Lansford, and a stepbrother, Vincent Fortunato of Hometown.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Holmes Funeral Home, 200 E. Bertsch Lansford, followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in the church. Calling hours will be 7-9 Friday.
