Canadian Roy used the "Irish whip" to subdue the stocky little strong man, taking two consecutive falls after Rabban had won the first with front crotch and body slams. It.;was a bitterly contested match with" both men indulging In unnecessary roughness, but. there was also considerable legitimate wrestling with Welch having a very slight edge, Rnbb'au broke many of Welch's holds by sheer strength, but could not elude the Irish Whips with which Welch won. A misdirected kangaroo kick, one of a series with which Sid Marcus took the second, fall from Eddie Malone, disabled one of Ufarcus' toes.and he was unable to come back to the ring for the final and deciding fail. Malone had won the first and when Marcus was unable to return Malone would ordinarily have been awarded the match on a forfeit, but the Irishman declined the'decision and Referee Mlk« Mc- ronej declared a draw.
