or oass oy net nsnermen as tne law reads at present it is unlawful to take bass by any means or contrivance during the month of June which month should be open for their capture as the fish breed during March and April and are in superb condition in June An effort will be made by the club to have the closed season changed during the present session of the Legislature from June to March and Aprik The club will also endeavor to have the weight limit repealed According to the present fish law bass over one pound may be taken by means of net or rod at any season of the year excepting the month of June The result of this measure has been the means of thinning the bay of many tons of small fish The Bass Club favors a law that will make the taking of bass less than three pounds
