She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Mrs. Herman L. Jenkins Sr. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Harvey Teagle, and her husband, Larry; five sons, Michael Harvey Sr.

and his wife, Charlene, Dale Harvey and his wife, Lisa, Barry Harvey and his wife, Karen, Tim Harvey, and Mark Harvey and his wife, JoElle. She will be deeply missed by her 11 grandchildren: Nicole, Tiffany, Jeffrey, Michael, Sam, Nikki, Kirsten, Jennifer, Ashley, Jordan and Andrew. Catherine was the youngest of six siblings and is survived by three sisters, Louise erend Timothy B. Kirby Sr. and the Reverend Heywood of Hayes, Anne Pruitt of Carrollton William J.

Corey will be held 3 p.m. Monday and DeLois Adan of Atlanta, and two at Providence Baptist Church. Interment will brothers, Herman Jenkins Jr. and Reuben follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden CemeJenkins, both of Hayes; as well as a host of tery. 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Hogg Funeral Home, Funeral services conducted by the Rev- Gloucester Point. FRAZIER H. HAMPTON Frazier H.Livingston, 82, died on Thursday, October 3,2002. He was a native of Summerton, S.C., and a Hampton resident for 62 years.

Mr. Livingston retired from BensonPhillips. He was a member of Emmanuel Chapel Church of Christ Holiness, having served as Chairman of the Deacon Board, a Trustee, a member of the Brotherhood and the Male Chorus. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary A. Livingston; two brothers; and a sister, he leaves to cherish his memory a son, Frazier R.

Livingston, and his wife, Patricia, of Stone Mountain, his daughters, Sandra L. Brown and her husband, Bernard, and Ethel "Pookie" Livingston-Nyembe and her husband, Eugene, all of Hampton; one granddaughter, Tracey Nyembe of Hampton; one great-granddaughter, Alexandria Livingston of Stone Mountain, his brother, Charles Livingston of Washington, D.C.; his sisters, Ella Gibson, Louise Johnson and Mary Brown, all of New York; foster daughters, Lisa Walden and her husband, Melvin, of Newport News, Barbara Joyner and her husband, Robin, of Hampton, and Suzette Parker of Hampton; a special friend, Herma Kee of Hampton; and numerous other relatives and friends. Mr. Livingston was especially known for FRAZIER H. LIVINGSTON his generosity and friendliness while working at the vegetable stand at Briarfield Road and Ward Drive.

A funeral service will be conducted at noon on Wednesday at Emmanuel Chapel Church of Christ Holiness by Elder Julian Riddick Jr. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Mr. Livingston will be placed in the church by 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Family and friends will assemble at 113 Ward Drive by 11 a.m. Wednesday for the procession to the church. Viewing for Mr. Livingston will be from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ronald C.

Perkins Funeral Home. MORGAN B. PAGE SR. MORGAN B. HAMPTON Morgan Byron Page a native and lifelong resident of the Peninsula, died peacefully a at home on Wednesday, October 2, 2002.

He graduated from Huntington High School in 1939 and received the B.S. degree from Hampton Institute (University) in 1949. A World War Il veteran, Mr. Page's first employment was with the Crown Savings Bank as a teller. He then worked as a budget analyst for the U.S.

Navy at the U.S. Marine Engineering Facility in Yorktown, Va. He retired in 1980, after 30 years of service. Mr. Page was a faithful, dedicated member of Carver Memorial Presbyterian Church, where he had served as Deacon and Treasurer.

He was a longtime financial secretary of the Men's League Council, member of the Boy Scout Council and the Carver Youth Bowling League, and he participated with the Saturday Afternoon Project. Morgan was a charter member and past president of Les Hommes Civic and Social Club. Cherishing his memory are Pauline D. Page, his wife of 52 years; son, Morgan B. Page Jr.

of Virginia Beach; daughter, Paula Page Easter (Russell), and grandson, Raymond A. Easter, of Northern Virginia; two godsons, Thomas Harmon and Justin A. Langley; two brothers-in-law, Lou and William Donaldson; three sisters-in-law, Margaret Harvey, Anita Donaldson and Mae Donaldson; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of loving and caring friends. Viewing will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, at Franklin Funeral Home, followed by a wake service from 6 to 7 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at noon on Monday, October 7, at Carver Memorial Presbyterian Church. Mellen Hampton 757-723-6006 Edgar H. Munzel, sportswriter, er, 95 Daily Press WILLIAMSBURG Edgar H. Munzel, 95, a former sportswriter with the Herald-Examiner in Chicago and the Chicago Sun-Times, died Oct. 4, 2002. Mr.

Munzel was born in Reynolds, and went to live with an uncle in Oak Park, in 1922. He began his career in 1922 at 15, working part-time at the Herald-Examiner in Chicago. He graduated from high school in 1925 and went to Northwestern University. When his money for college ran out in 1927, he began working full-time at the HeraldExaminer. In 1929, he began covering the Chicago White Sox, and he later covered the Sox and the Chicago Cubs.

His daughter law, Karen Munzel, recalled that he would cover the White Sox for half the season and the Cubs the other half of the season. "He knew both leagues very well," she said. "He covered all major sports, but baseball was his specialty," said his son, Thomas L. Munzel. Mr.

Munzel estimated that he had covered 8,000 games, including 34 World Series and 36 All-Star games. In addition to his work with the HeraldExaminer, Mr. Munzel wrote for the Chicago Sun-Times and The Sporting News. He retired in October 1973. Some of the players whom Mr.

Munzel interviewed during his career included Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio, Jackie Robinson and Stan Musial. He was friends with Sox second baseman Nellie Fox and played a large role in getting Fox into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997, during his tenure with the Hall of Fame Veterans Committee. Mr. Munzel was elected to the writer's wing of the Hall of SHIRLEY W. SHERMAN HAMPTON Shirley W.

Sherman, 75, longtime resident of York County and Hampton, died Thursday, October 3, 2002. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence D. Sherman, and her daughter Linda Smith. She is survived by her daughters Carol A. Perenzin of Hampton, Betty Jo and son-in-law, Mike Sergey, of Sylmar, and Annette R.

Sherman of Sandston, Va. She is also survived by four grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. She also leaves behind her special friends "Chuck" and Angela, who helped to make her last few months joyous. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, October 9, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Hampton.

The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall, St. Mark's Episcopal Church Building Fund, and the service will begin at 11 a.m. Inter- 2235 W. Queen Street, Hampton, VA 23666.

(Lumpy), 82, died September 30, 2002, in Clinton, Md. William served in the United States Army and worked for Transfer and Storage Co. for more than 30 years. He was a lifelong member of Colossian Baptist Church, Newport News, Va. Preceded in death by his wife, Helen, he leaves one son, Bernard of Houston, Texas; one daughter-in-law; one granddaughter; and three great -grandsons.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 7,2002, at Colossian Baptist Church, 856 Old Fort Eustis Newport News, with the Rev. Peter Evans officiating. Arrangements by Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.

Griswold, died Saturday, September 14,2002. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, at Arlington National Cemetery with military honors. Claytor Rollins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Fame in 1977, when he received the J.G.

Taylor Spink Award. He married Rose Bublis in 1941, and they moved to Williamsburg in 1980. He was a member of King of Glory Lutheran Church; the Crown Colony Club, serving as president in 1992; the Cy Andersen Clinic; the Civil War Roundtable; and a charter member of the Kingsmill Odd Lots. His daughter-in-law remembers Mr. Munzel as a quiet man who was respected by his peers, as well as by the baseball players he covered.

"He never wrote anything given to him off the record," she said. "He was extremely well-respected." Mr. Munzel is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Thomas L. and Karen Munzel of Williamsburg; his grandchildren, Tia Lorrean Adams of Williamsburg and Gregory Thomas Munzel of Charleston, S.C.; a great grandchild, Ashley Belle Adams Williamsburg; and a brother, Alfred "Bud" Munzel of San Antonio, Texas.

A service of remembrance will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at King of Glory Church. Arrangements are by Bucktrout of Williamsburg. ELIZABETH L. DAVIS MATHEWS Elizabeth L.

Davis, age 92, passed away Friday, Oct. 4,2002. Born in Hallieford, and a a a a a a a a a a lifelong resident of Mathews County, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Terry, and loving husband, Charles. She is survived by her brother, John Ernest Lewis of Mathews; and her nieces and nephews, Bob Lewis, Wayne Lewis, Marti Bowen and Christi Lewis, all of Mathews, and Carolyn Bronushas and Maynard Lewis of Maryland. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m.Monday, Oct.7,2002, at Mathews Chapel United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in the Haynes Cemetery.

DREW SUFFOLK Tremilla Yates Drew, 54, went to be with her Savior on October 3, 2002, in Suffolk, Va. She was born January 31, 1948, in Nansemond County, Va. She was a registered nurse at both Portsmouth Gen- eral Hospital and Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She later finished her career as a home health nurse. She was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Bell Yates; mother, Ellen Maude Ferguson Duke; and brother, Gilbert Bell Yates of Colorado.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Terry Drew; sons, Jeb and Bruce; a sister, Alice "Polly" Mansfield of California; brothers, David Duke of Colorado and Lucky Duke of North Carolina; and a special aunt, Helen "Nanny" Harris of Portsmouth. She was an avid animal lover, with special care of her dogs, Nikki and Sassy. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
