llachcl Elliott died at her home at OwkBlooba Thursday after- noon, after a lingering illness of cancer of the stomach The disease lirsfc mrde its appearance, last summer. She was taken to Kansas City be operated upoo, but on the ad-vibe of physicians there, the operation was not made and she return-d to her home. Since then fhe had been gradually sinking, and at no rime was there the slighes- hope of her recov-iry. Mrs. Elliott was an old resident of the county, having resided on a farm, five miles south cf here for twenty-five years.

About seven years ago her husband, Wni. KilioU, died and she moved to town. After a residence of some time here, (-he disposed of her property and removed to Topeka, where she only remained a short time, going from thrro to Oskaloosa. She leaves a large family of cl ildrea who are: J. li.
