MUNCIE Muncie Rod Davis, Ed.D. died Monday in San Antonio, Texas following a brief Rod retired in January after 40 plus years as a scholar and educator at Ball State During his career, he served in various roles as chair of the department of Business Education and Office Administration as well as associate dean and interim dean of the Miller College of Business. Rod met the love of his life, Charlene, at Ball State and they married June 16, In addition to his wife Charlene, Rod is survived by his sons, Rod Davis, Jr.

She was born on November 19, 1944 in Muncie, Indiana the daughter of Jerry and Hazel (Kinney) Rosinski. Gerri had an unwavering faith in God and was a former member of Yorktown Christian Church. Gerri was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed hosting gatherings for her family and friends, shopping, and ice cream.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Joyce Mitchell, and Mary Haley. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her children Melissa (Kevin) Reid, Rebecca (Michael) Johnson, Christopher Opperman and eight grandchildren, Sierra and Connor Reid, Rachel and Emily Schoff, Caitlin and Allison Johnson, and Johnathan and Savannah Strickland. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who loved and cared for Gerri throughout the many years of her life. Turpin, 94, of Greensboro, IN, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center in New Castle. He was born April 22, 1922 in Somerset, KY to the late Alonzo and Nancy Pearl (Sutherland) Turpin. A Veteran of the U.S.

Army, Arnold co-owned and operated Trucking Company, where he retired after 38 years of service in the trucking industry. He also was employed by Turpin Electric for 20 years, carried mail, worked at Everett Kings Sawmill, was operations manager for Cresco Lines, Indiana division, and terminal manager for McClain Dray Lines in Richmond and Connersville, Indiana. Arnold attended Greensboro Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the Knightstown American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Arnold is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eva Coleen (Lee) Turpin, whom he married in 1952; five sons, Joseph A.

(Beth) Turpin, of Green eld; Jon B. (Linda) Turpin of Cambridge City; George Scott (Beth) Turpin of Seymour; Stephen (Liz) Turpin of Etowah, NC; James (Laura) Turpin of Greensboro; two daughters, Debra (Pat) Fausset of Shirley and Lee Annette (Danny) Douglas of New Castle; 19 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Ford of Indianapolis and Opal Lindley of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews. Bobby was born December 3, 1946 in Muncie to Hermit and Nora (Lowery) Bobby worked at Graphic Packaging for 35 years.

He enjoyed Car Shows, going fishing, and being with his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Toni Faye. He was a combat veteran who proudly served his Country in Vietnam. He leaves behind three sons, Bobby Pierce II (wife-Kristine), Tracy Pierce (wife-Tiffany), and Kevin Pierce (wife-Kashiun), all of Muncie; precious grandchildren, Joshua Pierce (wife-Cassie), Payton Pierce, Zoe Pierce, Lizzie King, Gunnar Koger, Addison Pierce, and Kingston Pierce. Stallsmith Turner, 78, of Hartford City, IN, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at her residence in Hartford City, IN. She was born on Wednesday, November 30, 1938, in Hartford City, IN. Judith had attended Hartford City schools. She had worked for stores in Hartford City and Montpelier, Foods in Hartford City, and Family Market in Montpelier.

Judith will be remembered for always helping others out. It matter what needed to be done, if she could help she was the first one there. She assisted her father in law, Harry Stallsmith, in taking fruit baskets to local nursing homes. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and spending time with her family. Judith was a friend to all.
