HArU ETTCia ruiiMic i Star-Bulletin staff WAILUKU The trial of a 32-year-old Maui man charged with killing a woman in her Kihei condominium last February has been delayed until Feb. 28, 1994.

Robert M. Edwards, charged in the death of Muriel Delbecq, underwent neuropsychological testing at the Hawaii State Hospital in mid September. Defense attorney Keith Tanaka said the test results are still unavailable. The trial was scheduled to start Oct. 23.

Edwards' bail has been set at $1 million. Before his arrest, Edwards was living for nearly 18 months as a fugitive after violating the terms of his parole in California, the California Department of Corrections has charged. A California warrant for his arrest was issued May 10, 1991. He was on parole for a car theft conviction in Los Angeles County. Edwards worked on the Big Island and later on Maui as a roofer.

Edwards, born in Long Beach, was charged with the murder of 55-year-old Mar jorie Deeble in her Los Alamitos apartment in Orange County, Calif, on May 16, 1986.
