session of the week to consider the European crisis deepened by Adolf defiant Num-berg speech and new disorders in Czechoslovakia The summons was issued by Prime Minister Chamberlain after he and his been defeated at a' public election once this year and that the city is already through bonded debt to the limit and that taxation has been Increased Saunders Asks Time City Auditor Critchlow in a statistical report of the current operating budget said that all departmental appropriations are merely sufficient to provide for operating expenses with the exceptions of $5200 earmarked for improvements in the parks and public improvement budgets which amount could be transferred to cover the costs of the election "without curtailing the normal operation of the parks department this Parks Commissioner Saunders asked for more time to study report explaining that to make the recommended transfer would mean that several contemplated parks improvements scheduled for this year would be out of the question Has Alternative Mayor Peery suggested that as an alternative of touching parks funds some money could be transferred from the city fire department budget but Critchlow said less than $1000 could be so transferred When no immediate solution of the fund-juggling problem developed Critchlow was asked to study the budget anew in the hopes some unexpended odds and ends could be
