Hark loht of a Street Lamp and a Tree Pulborough, Eng. (JP) AH it takes to start a row in this town is a street lamp and a tree. The Pulborough parish council and the Chanctonbury rural district council have been locking horns for three years over this Innocent sounding issue.

Threa years ago the parish council erected a street lamp by a tree planted about 18 years before by the rural district council. The tree's branches soon grew 'round the lamp, partially concealing its light, So the parish council asked that the tree be removed. The rural council refused, pointing out that the tree was there first. Then the parish council requested that the offending branches be pruned. The rural council refused that, too.

The parish council took an appeal to the ministry of transport which, however, upheld the rural council. Neither side has budged since. NAUGART MBS. Wausau Lady Glad To Tell Others Of KruGon Action Laxative-Tonic Only Remedy Not to Disappoint Mrs. Bloom; Impurities Over Her Body Had Settled in Her Knees; Swelled, Became Stiff and Sore; Now Happy Over KruGon's Results KruGon, the capsule remedy, has astonished many right here in Wausau in the manner in which it restores proper elimination to the system, removing poisons which cause MRS. HARRY BLOOM awful indigestion, gas, bloating, nijrht risings, rheumatic and neuritis pains and bowel troubles. The action of this laxative-tonic formula is positive, yet harmless, with a cleansing effect on the Intestinal tract that is declared to be ENTIRELY DIFFERENT from other medicine on the market today.

For example, read what Mrs. Harry Bloom, 208 Randolph street, Wausau, a well known and highly respected local lady who has lived here all her life, said recently in talking with the KruGon Man at the W. W. Albera' Drug Store, 301 Third street, this city: "I a grateful for the remarkable Improvement KruGon has shown me in the short time I have been using It," aaid Mrs. Bloom.

"For over three year I had suffered considerably with aches and pains over my body which were brought on through years of improper elimination. This condition caused rheumatism to develop which settled in my knees. First It began with a swelling and then my less became, stiff and sore and since that time I have grown steadily worse. During these past three years I had taken different treatments and medicines of many different kinds recommended highly for cases such as mine hut with no results at all until I learned of this KruGon and began Its use. i "This laxative-tonic formula be-' gsn to show me Improvement almost with the first dose took and now after taking this lemedy for two weeks I am feeling like a different continued Mrs.

Bloom, "Those pains and the swelling have been driven from my knees and the awful stiffness is rapidly disappearing. That is not all either for my entire system seems to have shown a great improvement and I feel fine In every way. The setting trick, then, must be found in clubs, East reasoned, and if it was to be found, West must hold the king and jack and South must hold three. East returned a club up to the ace-queen in dummy, and thus gained enough time to defeat a contract which any other return would have made easy for the declarer. The cluh return served the double purpose of establishing the needed trick and robbing dummy of an entry to utilize the fourth heart. While the play appears daring, actually it is perfectly sound and normal. East knows that the club queen is a trick regardless of other honors in the suit.

Forced to lead, and knowing that nothing can be done if South holds the club jack. East played for this one chance, and found the setting trick. Contract Problem (Solution In next Issue) South found himself in the ambitious contract of seven no trump, and when he failed to make it he was severely criticized by his partner. Raspberries Getting Gas Treatment to Keep Firmer St.

Paul. (JP) The gas that turns ordinary water into soda water is going to improve Minnesota's resp-berries this summer, says J. D. Winter, University Farm horticulturist. Experiments in mixing carbon diox ide with air in cooling berries before shipment proved so successful last year that the state's largest raspberry growing association is going to use the equipment this year.

"The. gas very definitely retards development of mould and maintains a firmer berry," Winter said. It eliminates the "sweating" which covers berries with drops of water when they are removed from ordinary cooling units. Sweating has been held a major course of mould formation. The carbon monoxide treatment is said to prevent the berries from becoming cooler than 55 degrees, thus preventing sweating.
