The pride of the Big Island, artist Doug Lindsey, is out with an injured foot suffered in the Maui marathon and will not be entered. As usual, Howard expects 90 to 95 percent of the entries to come from off the Big Island. Many will be from Oahu, but a good number from such locations as California, Canada, Taiwan, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin. The 26.2-mile course is unchanged, according to Howard.
