They found three little birds on the ground under a mango tree after a big windstorm.

It was fortunate that the ladies found the birds before the neighbor's cat did. The ladies picked up the birds. cuddled them and then put them in a bix box on their lanai. Before long, the ladies noticed that the parents of the little birds had come close to the lanai and were singing to their offspring. PARENTS BRING FOOD Then one of the parents screwed up enough courage to fly over to the box on the lanai.

Three little beaks flew wide open. Lo and behold the parent stuffed a bug into the nearest open beak. Then it flew away to get some more food. Another bird, the father, came with bugs for the other babies. The papa and mama flew back and forth several times bringing food for their children.

Then they seemed to go away satisfied. ON 2 HOUR SHIFT The ladies watched closely. Exon the dot, two hours later. actly, parents -were back with more bugs to feed the little ones. The two hour feedings kept 'up all day.

When evening came the ladies debated whether or not to cover the box with a warm cushion. They decided against it. In the morning all the little birds were gone. The parents had taken them away.
