"Change the water in my water bed and have a late supper." "What about all day Sunday?" we asked breathlessly. "Drive out to the country and in the evening catch a movie somewhere." "And Monday?" I asked, holding my breath. "Listen to neat records and have a conversation with someone." We couldn't believe it. "Do you think he's for real?" asked Gloria.

"Let's test him." She said to Rick, "When we throw you a word, you answer quickly the first thing that comes to your mind. Ready?" He nodded. "Quarterback." "What you find in a recliner after a cheap friend has sat in it." "Oklahoma." "Rodgers and Hammerstein." "Defense." "Melvin Laird." "Odds." "Six men and 30 million football widows." Imagine! There are five more men just like him running around loose. Our cup runneth over! Some will spend the day knitting nooses in their husbands' neck sizes. Others will sit in a fetal position by the hot water heater, rocking back and forth and humming. Others will contemplate how exciting their lives would have been had they married shepherds. A few of us will spend the day with bachelor Rick Rap. Rick is one of six men in North America who hates football.

We discovered him quite by accident at a party the other night. Joan was complaining if she had to listen to Howard Cosell one more day she'd mail herself to a dead letter office, when Rick smile "Howard who?" We looked at him in disbelief, "You're kidding. You mean you have never heard of Howard Cosell?" He shook his head. "How about the Dolphins?" "I saw 'em in Biliami." Our hopes fell and we began to walk away. "They have a great Seaquarium there." We returned to his side and moved in closer.

"What DEAR ABBY: A big dog in our neighborhood took the heads off two pet rabbits which belonged to my children. I telephoned the S. P. C. A.

and told them to pick up that dog. I really feared for the small children in our neighborhood with such an animal running the streets. Well. I didn't realize the mess this would get me into because while they were searching our neighborhood for that big dog. they picked up a small harmless dog and took him away because he had no tag and was running loose.

Now the owner of the small dog is furious because she knows I called the men who picked up her dog. What would you have done in my place? UPSET DEAR UPSET: Exactly what you did, so don't feel guilty. Laws are for the protection of all, and those who break them should pay the price. DEAR ABBY: My husband plays cards with the boys one night a week. I don't mind that, but I do mind when he keeps it a big secret if he loses or wins.

Also, how much. When I ask him how he came out, he gets angry and clams up. I think a wife has a right to know these things. Maybe he keeps his win- nincbs a big secret because he doesn't want me to ask for anything extra from his winnings. On the other hand, maybe he keeps his losses a secret because he's ashamed or thinks maybe I'll try to keep him from playing if he loses too much.

Which of these theories do you think is correct? CARD PLAYER'S WIFE DEAR WIFE: Both! DEAR ABBY: My very tall teen-aged daughter walked into a store the other day, and the saleslady loudly exclaimed, "My, there's a tall one for you!" This absolutely destroyed my daughter's ego! That saleswoman would never have said, "My, there's a pimply one for you!" Or, "My, that's a fat one for you!" Please remind your readers that personal remarks of this kind are cruel. Unusually tall girls don't need remarks to remind them they are taller than most girls their age. 0, ty) i s. L' I By log the )its hil- P. ick our reu an As Park-Hamada Mr.

(AP) A -reclaimed" house isn't necessarily one on which the mortgage has been foreclosed. It could be one made of old bottles, cans and other assorted materials.

Such miscellaneous materials will be used to build a home near Richmond. Almost the entire house, including the brick, the cement, the water pipes and part of the flooring, will be made from "reclaimed" or recycled materials. Reynolds Metals Co. is planning to have the trilevel, four-bedroom home constructed in suburban Henrice county to demonstrate the feasibility of using recycled materials in homebuilding. "It will be unique and first-rate in quality," said David P.

Reynolds. executive vice president and general manager of the aluminum manufacturer, which helped pioneer the concept of recycling in 1967 by in trodueing a program for recycling aluminum Finely ground glass from bottle fragments will make up 90 per cent of the brick used for the exterior facing of the house. It also will be used for spun glass insulation. All subflooring and sheathing materials will be recycled from old newspapers. In the concrete used in cun.

struction, fly-ash will be used as a substitute for Portland cement. Water pipes will be made of reclaimed copper. Lavatories and bathtubs will be manufactured in part from marble dust, roofing from reclaimed fibers. Recycled aluminum will be used for sidings and gutters as well as for floor joints and trusses. Reynolds said even the foundation will contain recycled materials.

"We will use just as much recycled materials as is possible and practical," he said. DEAR ABBY: I am writing fast and am going to mail this before I lose my nerve. What do you do when you love your husband who is a lousy lover, and it's your fault because you have pretended a lot and made him think he was great, just to build his ego? In eight years of marriage I have been satisfied only twice. and that's no lie. I have been 100 per cent faithful to my husband (thank God thoughts don't count) but it is getting more difficult.

I have been invited to go to to bed with three different men this year, so maybe my hunger is obvious. The fact remaining I don't want to break up my home or anybody else's with an affair, but I am going crazy trying to be a good wife. Don't think I haven't tried to make things more interesting for my husband, because I have. I've read all the "how to" books to my husband, who falls asleep while I am reading to him. I would like to hear from other women with this problem.

I can't believe I'm the only love-starved woman around. WAITING For Abby's booklet, "How to Have a Lovely Wedding." send to Abby, Box 69700, Los Angeles, Calif. 90069. 01 LUAU. WAITING For Abby's book-let, "IIow to nave a Lovely Wedding," send $1 to Abby, Box 69700, 69.
