African-European ribbon Mr Bundy entered the service in February of 1942 receiving his commission in December of the same year In April of 1943 he was sent to his present ship then in the North Atlantic operating with the British home fleet In the fall of 1943 his ship went to the Pacific where it has been in every major operation since the invasion of the Gilbert islands Cpl Clyde A Checketts entered the service in August 1942 and has been in several major battles in the southwest Pacific where he has been stationed or 29 months I I Pvt Wallace Checketts entered the service He saw action for a year in the African and European theatres of war He expects to be transferred to the Pacific area He received his education at Mound Fort and Ogden high school Two Ogden brothers recently were reunited on Okinawa island according to a letter received by their parents Mr and Mrs Checketts 375 Monroe The letter written by Cpl Clyde A Checketts of Ninth 155 mm field artillery
