Tom was a marathon runner participating in the first three Blue Angel Marathons.

He continued to run until he was diagnosed with COPD. He was an avid reader of history, sharing his knowledge with all of his grandchildren. Tom also was fond of classical music and composers but also enjoyed a wide range of music, the likes of Frank Sinatra and his all time favorite musical show, Lawrence Welk. He leaves behind his loving and devoted children, Unda and Bob Garman, Tom and Tami McGraw, Rosemary and Doug Forte, Kathi Crittenden and Maria and Robert Coats. He was smarting after a stumbling run for governor in 2002. A year later he and wife Kerry Kennedy Cuomo, a daughter of Robert Kennedy went through a messy divorce after 13 years. Connie was 86 years young as her loving family surrounded her upon her departure. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. "Bob Nowlin; mother, Ruth McCarthy; and son, Richard L. Connie Is survived by her children, James "Pancho" Nowlin (Kathy), Ed Nowlin (Marcia), Robert Louis Nowlin (Unda), all of Pensacola; Robert S. "Rob" Nowlin of Jay; Bobbie Jean Marcus (Gene) of Colorado; Connie Ellen Burcham (Mike) of the U.S. Mountain West; and Ruth Aubrey (Roger) of Spanish Fort, AL; two sisters, Alice Marshall of St. Augustine, FL and Lillian Stark of New Jersey; brother-in-law, Charles Nowlin of Panama City, FL; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A native of New Jersey, Connie resided in the Pensacola area for the past 64 years.

As a young lady, she and her sisters loved to travel to New York City to listen to the bands of the day, Including Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey and Frank Sinatra. She was a member of Gonzalez United Methodist Church and had worked for St. Regis Paper Company and Howard Johnson's. She enjoyed traveling and gardening and was an avid nature and animal lover, but gained her greatest joys from her family, especially the little children. The family will receive friends at Pine Forest United Methodist Church, 2800 Wilde Lake in Pensacola on Thursday evening, June 17, 2010 from 5:30 pm until the 7:00 pm Memorial Service.

Rudy is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Mary White Evans of Gonzalez; his three daughters, Debra Henderson (William), Denise Williams (Don), Donna Evans; and four granddaughters: Devan Henderson, Holland Henderson, Hannah Williams Pennington (Jason), and Rachel Williams. Rudy was bom in Brewton, Alabama on June 5, 1928.

As a young man he served in the National Guard, then went on to a successful career at the paper mill in Cantonment. Rudy spent over forty years employed in various positions, retiring from International Paper in 1991. As a dedicated employee, Rudy's greatest appreciation was for the fine people he worked alongside over the years and others he became associated with during his long career. Rudy was a long time member of Gonzalez Baptist Church where he coached the girl's Softball team for many years. In the local community Rudy was an ardent supporter of UWF athletic teams and he especially enjoyed the UWF women's Softball team.

Fussell, 86, of Orange Park, died Sunday, June 13, 2010. She was the wife of the late Jack Walker Fussell. Born in Columbus, Ga. on October 29, 1923, she was the daughter of the late George Kinnon and Zella Cook Hiller. Mrs.

Fussell graduated from Emory University's School of Nursing in 1948 and worked as a nurse in Atlanta, Charlotte, Titusville and Pensacola, where she retired from Sacred Heart Hospital in 1984. Mrs. Fussell was a member of As-bury United Methodist Church. Preceding Mrs. Fussell in death, in addition to her parents and husband, was her brother, James Hiller.

Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Clark Morris of Sorrento, and Cathy and Jim Wright of Orange Park, four granddaughters, one grandson and a great-grandson. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, June 20, 2010, 2:00 PM at Asbury United Methodist Church, 16 College Orange Park, FL with Rev. Richard Jenks officiating. She was ready to go to Heaven and be with the family who had preceded her; parents, Harvey and Beluah Hetherington; her two husbands, Glenn Dennis and LeeRoy Dunn; her siblings, Hoyt Hetherington, Eston Hetherington, Christine Helton, Mary Mattson and Louise Lloyd. Pauline is survived by her son, Arnold Gene Dennis, who took good care of her until the very end, she loved him dearly; her grandchildren, who were still her "babies" no matter how old they were, Stephanie Glaze (Chris) and Brian Dennis; her great-grandson, Joshua Glaze; a sister, Jean Wise (George); two stepchildren, Carol Fussell (Don) and David Dunn (Helen) and four step grandchildren. Pauline is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who cherished their "Aunt Polly" or "PaPa." Pauline spent her entire life loving and caring for not only her own child and grandchildren; but the children of her siblings and any other child that needed her. In her early years she worked for her family's business, Veteran's Gas. Pauline's love for children later led her to Kiddie Korral Nursery, where she worked for many years.

You could always find her on Sundays and Wednesday nights working at the Northside Baptist Church Nursery. God gave Pauline a love for children and she nurtured and cared for each child as though they were her own. Pauline is now in Heaven and able to take care of babies and children once again. Pauline will be greatly missed for her loving and caring ways, and all that she gave to those she loved. Pauline was a member for many years at the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was active in many areas.

In the later years of her life she was a member of East Brent Homebound Sunday School Class. She also enjoyed watching East Brent Baptist Church services and Dr. Dale Patterson's weekly sermons on TV with her sister Louise. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating.

Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her grandson, Brian Dennis, and her nephews, Kenneth Uoyd, Curtis Uoyd, Buddy Mattson, Wade Mattson and George Wise. Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces (who she called her girts), who loved Aunt Polly like their mom and found it an honor to take care of her during the later years of her life; Sandra Uoyd Fussell, Elizabeth Uoyd Wolff and Tonya Uoyd Kerchoff. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Baptist Manor who took loving and compassionate care of her for the last year and the staff at Covenant Hospice Joyce Goldenberg Inpatient Residence who her and her family during her last days. BAYVIEW FISHER-POU ARTHUR A. GODWIN 1917 2010 Arthur A. Godwin, 93, of Pensacola, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, who will be greatly missed.

Mr. Godwin was bom March 23, 1917 in Coolsprings, Alabama. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII in Europe and Africa.

He was on Omaha Beach during the invasion of Normandy and received two Silver Stars, a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was self employed and made his own way. Being self employed afforded him the time to be with and enjoy his family. He is survived his children, Leigh G. Russell, Phillip S.

Godwin, Usa L. Pirie, and David A. Godwin; grandchildren, Beth Michelle Bayless, Christopher J. Russell, Alan Pirie Abbey Pirie, Blaine Williams, Brant Williams, Bailey Godwin, and Brooke Godwin; greatgrandchildren, Jonathan P. Mosca, Erik A.

Mosca; great-great-grandchildren, Katherina Mosca and Paula Mosca; and sister, Alma Walden. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.
