Joe, died Sunday, June 3, 1984, at his home after a short illness. He was born Oct. 28, 1909, at St. Joe, to John E. and Louisa Simon Schmitz.

He attended St. Joseph's Parochial School at St. Joe. On Nov. 12, 1935, he married Irmina Morgan at Johnsburg.

Mr. Schmitz farmed at St. Joe, retiring 10 years ago, moving to Mount Calvary where he was a custodian at Hillside Apartments. Surviving are sons, John, and Joseph all of St. Cloud; three daughters, Mrs.

William (Mary) Stephany of Malone, Mrs. Alex (Kathleen) Guelig of St. Cloud and Mrs. James (Shirley) Romanowich of Wauwatosa; 17 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Gregor (Martha) Morgan of Fond du and two brothers, Leander of New Holstein and William of Milwaukee.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Huss Funeral Home, St. Cloud, and at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mount Calvary, where he was a member. The Rev.

Rupert Dorn will officiate, and burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, St. Joe. Friends of Mr. Schmitz may call after 4 p.m.

Tuesday at the funeral home. Herman Dorn Herman J. Dorn, 78, owner and operator of Dorn's Barber Shop at Mount Calvary for 40 years, died this morning, June 4, 1984, at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home. He formerly resided at 635 E. Arndt St.

He was born Nov. 25, 1905, at St. Anna, to Michael and Fredericka Laures Dorn. On June 24, 1929, he married Louise Mae Schaefer at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Milwaukee.

Mr. Dorn was a past member of Fond du Lac County Board. He assisted with the corporation of the Village of Mount Calvary. Surviving are three sons, Ralph and Gordon both Menomonee Falls and Alan of Arlington Heights, two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Peg) Diedrich of Mount Calvary and Mrs.

LeRoy (Mary Ann) Mengel of Fond du Lac; 20 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Hugo of Milwaukee; and two sisters, Ida Wettstein Martha Zrimsek both of Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his wife on June 14, 1976, and by a daughter, brother sister. A memorial service will be conducted at a.m. Wednesday at St.

Joseph's Catholic Church where he was a member. The Rev. Tony Dorn, a nephew, will officiate. Burial was scheduled to take place in Ledgeview Memorial Park. The family would appreciate memorials to Hospice Hope of St.

Agnes Hospital. Twohig Funeral Home, Fond du Lac, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Hildegarde V. Krueger, 64, Route 1, Malone, died Saturday, June 2, 1984, at St.

Agnes Hospital. She was born Feb. 21, 1920, to William and Olga Grumps Winkler in Sheboygan. On June 28, 1947, she married James F. Krueger Sr.

at Plymouth. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School and a member of Hope Lutheran Church. She worked at Lakeshire Cheese Plymouth, Infants Socks Well Manufacturing Co. and Tecumseh Products, Holstein. Mrs.

Krueger retired in 1982. Mrs. Krueger is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Connie) Stephany of Chilton, Mrs. Gerald (Beth) Krein of Malone and Sheila Krueger, city; three sons, David W.

Krueger of Wisconsin Rapids, Jeffrey Krueger of Malone and James R. Krueger, at home; eight grandchildren; and three brothers, Wilbert Winkler of Warren, Roger Winkler of Mesa, and Ronald Winkler of Iola. She was preceded in death by her husband, James, on March 9, 1981. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hope Lutheran Church.

The Revs. Willard F. Hanser and David C. Jensen will officiate. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.

Memorials may be directed to the church. Friends may call at the Candlish Funeral Chapel from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and at the church from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Mrs. Olson Mrs. Olson, 91, of Iola, died Saturday, June 2, 1984, at River Pines Community Health Center, Stevens Point. She was born April 11, 1893, near Iola, to Mr. and Mrs.

Ole Knutson. She was married to Olaf Olson on Jan. 17, 1917, at Scandinavia, Wis. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. George (Ethelyn) Suits of Ogdenburg, Mrs.

Herman (Dona) Gjertson of Iola and Mrs. Alan (LaVonne) Waller of Fond du Lac; grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; a brother, Adolph Knutson of Platteville; and a sister, Mabel Lonnevik of Stevens Point. She was preceded in death by her husband, a grandchild, a great-grandchild, four brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, where she was a member.

Pastor J.C. Stottenberg will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Olson will be after 4 p.m. today at Voie Funeral Home, Iola.

Mrs. Gavin Graveside services for Mrs. Stephen E. Gavin Jr. of Madison will be held at 11 a.m.

Tuesday ate Calvary Cemetery. She died Saturday, June 2, 1984, at her home due to an apparent heart attack. The Rev. George J. Gibbons will officiate.

Brewery union rejects pact MILWAUKEE (AP) Employees Pabst Brewing Milwaukee plant rejected a contract offer Sunday, raising the specter of a work stoppage that could cripple another brewing giant in this beer-making city. Union leader George Hilbert, recollecting a 1981 walkout that preceded the closing of Schlitz Brewing flagship brewery, declined this time to call a strike and told union members to continue working today although their contract technically has expired.
