Deaths John E. Fell, dead Daniel Joseph Swain Dorothy O. Henseleit Monday, April 23, 1979 Kokomo (Ind.) Tribune 7 John Ellis Fell 73, Kokomo attorney and longtime business and civic leader, died Sunday, April 22, 1979, at 9:01 a.m. in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital.

John E. Fell Sr. A native of Greentown, he was born Sept. 3, 1905, the son of John and Elizabeth (Ellis) Fell. He was graduated from Greentown High School in 1923, received a bachelor's degree from Indiana University in 1927 and a law degree from the IU School of Law in 1929.

After his graduation from law school, he entered the practice of law in Kokomo, joining the firm of McClure and Elliott. His career as a lawyer covered 46 years, all of it spent in Kokomo. With Donald F. Elliott he formed the firm of Elliott and Fell in 1934 and it continued until Elliott's retirement in 1940. Fell then headed the firm of Fell, Life and LeVan, which subsequently was reorganized as Fell, Fell and McGarvey and later as Fell, Davis and Murrell.

His practice was in public utilities, banking, corporation law and estates. He took a conspicuous role in business and educational activities of Kokomo, becoming one of the or ganizers of the First National Bank, the Kokomo Savings and Loan Association and the Russiaville State Bank. He was general counsel as well as a director of those financial institutions, and was secretary and director of the Kokomo Gas and Fuel Company. In 1943 he became a member of the board of trustees of the Kokomo-Center Township Consolidated School Corporation and served as its president in 1944-45. He was a notable civic leader, serving as president of the Kokomo Chamber of Commerce in 1960, president of the Rotary Club in 1946, chairman of the Howard County Chapter of the American Red William H.

Millage Services for William H. Millage, 72, Kokomo R.R. 6, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Stout Funeral Home, Russiaville, with the Rev. Paul Reish officiating.

Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Twilight Masonic services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

He was found dead in his home at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 1979, after an apparent tractor accident. Born July 22, 1906, in Lapel, he was the son of John and Susanna (Flowers) Millage. He was a veteran of World War II and was retired from Penn-Dixie Steel Corp. in 1969.

He had lived in the West Middleton area since 1949 and he was a member of New London Masonic Lodge. Surviving are two sons, Larry Millage of Lansing, and Ronald Millage of San Luis Obispo, a daughter, Judy Dunn of Portage, and three grandchildren. First Federal MONEY RATES Cross, trustee of Grace United Methodist Church in 1964-66, and chairman of the Advisory Board of St. Joseph Memorial Hospital until 1975. His professional affiliations included membership in the Howard County, Indiana State and American Bar Associations and he was a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

He was admitted to practice before the federal courts and the United States Supreme Court. Other memberships were in the Kokomo Country Club, Union League Club of Chicago, Masonic Lodge and Shrine, Kokomo Elks Club, Lambda Chi Alpha social fraternity, Gamma Eta Gamma law fraternity, and Chi Gamma Tau band fraternity. During his long represented numerous Kokomo industries and public utilities, as well as several insurance and manufacturers companies from other states. Among his interests were music (he played in the Indiana University Band while in college), the cultivation of roses and other flowers, golfing and fishing. As a former president of the Rotary Club, he attended several international conventions of Rotary International and he traveled widely abroad.

Surviving are the widow, Kathryn; two sons, John E. Fell Kokomo attorney, and Dr. Robert Fell, Lafayette, two daughters, Elizabeth "Betsy" Demaree, Kokomo, and Ruth Ann "Sugar" Keedy, Indianapolis; and 18 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Pickett Funeral Home at Greentown. A memorial service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church at 2 p.m.

Tuesday, with the Rev. Donald E. Bailey, former pastor of the church, and the Rev. Howard Fox officiating. The family will receive friends in the church parlor from noon to 2 p.m., and a private service will be in the church chapel at 9:30 a.m.

Entombment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens Masoleum; The family has suggested that memorials be made to the St. Joseph Memorial Hospital Foundation. Richard K. Gorski Services for Richard Kenneth Gorski, 44, 3909 Pleasant Drive, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St.

Joan of Arc Catholic Church with the Rev. Kenneth Bohlinger officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Ellers Mortuary.

The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Research Foundation, Milwaukee, Wis. He died Saturday, April 21, 1979, in Park Mammouth Resort in Brownsville, Ky.

Born May 19, 1934, in Milwaukee, he was the son of Steven and Anastasia (Pliszka) Gorski. He was married Aug. 27, I960, to Kathleen Brewster, who survives. He was a member of Izaak Walton League and was employed as a system analyst for Delco Electronics Division. Also surviving are three sons, Christopher, Michael and Patrick Gorski, all at home; his mother, Anastasia "Nettie" Gorski of Milwaukee; and two brothers, Daniel and Kenneth Gorski, both of Milwaukee.

23, 1925, she was the daughter of George and Ethel Lowery. She was employed for 22 years by Milbank Manufacturing Co. Inc. and was a member of Galveston American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are three sons, Mark Allen Nolder, at home, Mike Murphy of Monterey R.R.

1 and Tom Nolder of Kokomo; three brothers, George Edward Lowery of Lagro, and Charles Lowery and Richard Eugene Lowery, both of Kokomo. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Murray Funeral Home, Kokomo Chapel. Burial will be in Galveston Cemetery. Friends may cail from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Tuesday. Ruby E. Hopp KIRKLIN, Ind. Ruby Eliza Hopp, 88, Kirklin, died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 1979, in Milner Health Care Center, Rossville.

Born July 5, 1890, in Boone County, she was the daughter of Robert and Emma (McWilliams) Stephenson. She was married Feb. 3, 1909, to Orville Hopp, who died June 22, 1974. She was a member of Salem United Presbyterian Church and Kirklin Yoke Ministry. Surviving are a son, Verlin Hopp of Frankfort R.R.

a daughter, Juanita Scott of Flora R.R. and 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A son preceded her in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Eller Funeral Home, Frankfort, with the Rev.

F.W. Pilley officiating. Burial will be in Mudd Creek Cemetery, near Kirklin. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today.

SHELBYV1LLE, Ind. Daniel Joseph Swain, infant son of Stephen and Ann Elizabeth (Friend) Swain, Russiaville R. R. 2, died at 12:50 p.m. Friday, April 20, 1979, in Riley Hospital, Indianapolis.

He was born April 16 in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Kokomo. Surviving with the parents are a brother, Benjamin Stephen, at home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A.

Swain, Arlington R.R. 1, and Elva M. Friend, Carmel; and great-grandmother, Mossilene Swain, Arlington. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. today in the Blue River Wesleyan Cemetery with the Rev.

Hugh Spalding officiating. Cormony Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. John F. Samuels TIPTON, Ind. John F.

Samuels, 81, Atlanta R.R. 2, died at 12:20 a.m. Monday, April 23, 1979 in his home. Born Oct. 14, 1897, near Kempton, he was the son of Peter A.

and Mary (Spurgeon) Samuels. He married Winona Park on Aug. 3, 1929. He was a retired farmer and evangelistic singer. He had lived in Tipton and Hamilton Counties all his life and was a member of the East Union Christian Church.

Surviving with the wife is one sister, Nettie Shirk, Atlanta R.R. 2. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Young-Nichols Funeral Home in Tipton with the Rev. Steve Morris officiating.

Burial will be in the East "Union Cemetery. Friends may call 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Merrill R. Brock Merrill R.

Brock, 61, 2900 E. Center Road, died at 2:35 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 1979, in Howard Community Hospital. He had moved from Amboy to Kokomo 18 years ago. Born in Marion Jan.

4, 1918, he was the son of Hillman and Edith (Hopkins) Brock. He was married in England March 14, 1945, to Ethel "Doll" Milne, who survives. He was employed by Delco Electronics Division for 38 years and was a member of Amboy Friends Church and Converse Masonic Lodge. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are a son, David Brock of Kokomo; two daughters, Carol Sue Good and Christina Brock, both of Kokomo; two sisters, Wilma Shrock of Amboy and Louise Wills of Seymour; and two grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Park Lawn Cemetery, Amboy, with the Rev. Kenneth Hinshaw officiating. Laird Funeral Home, Amboy, is in charge of arrangements. The family prefers that memorials be in the form of contributions to the Howard County Cancer Society.

Allen B. Harper TIPTON, Ind. Allen B. Harper, 77, Tipton R.R. 2, died early Sunday, April 22, 1979, in Community Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born July 7, 1901, in Jefferson County, he was the son of Emmit and Effie (Buchanan) Harper. On Nov. 30, 1922, he married Elsie A. Shook. He had lived in Tipton County most of his life.

He was a retired farmer and member of Community Bible Church. He graduated from Sharpsville High Schol and attended University. Surviving with the wife are two HIS, Lewis Harper, Tipton R.R. 1, and Elbert Harper, Tipton R.R. one daughter, Wilda M.

Robison, Upland, one brother, George Harper, Sharpsville; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Community Bible Church in Tipton with the Rev. Clark Spaulding Jr. officiating.

Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Tipton. Dorothy O. Henseleit, 64, 825 E.

Fischer died at 11:40 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 1979, in Howard Community Hospital. Born Oct. 20, 1914, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Pierce and Eva (Runqulst) Benson. She was married June 22, 1940, to Frederick A.

Henseleit, who survives. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Von Bora Circle of Lutheran Church Women. Surviving are two sons, Pierce A. Henseleit of Kokomo and Frederick H.

"Rick" Henseleit II of Galveston; a daughter, Sandra Moyer of Delavan, a brother, Roy Benson of Hinsdale, a sister, Eileen Huge of Chicago; and three grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded her in death. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev.

David Stc- phey officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. (CST) in Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, 111. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Fenn Funeral Home and in the church one hour before services.

Lee S. Gunning FRANKFORT, Ind. Lee S. Gunning, 82, 1400 Myrtle died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, April 22, 1979, in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

Born in Atlanta on Jan. 21, 1897, he was the son of Thomas and Caroline (Rouls) Running. He married Violet E. McCarty on Aug. 30, 1917, and she survives.

He was a farmer in Tipton County from 1921 to 1928 and was president of Gunco in Tipton from 1942 to 1950. He then moved to Frankfort and was owner and operator of Gunning Co. He was a member of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church in Frankfort. Surviving with the wife are a son, Donald Gunning, Mulberry; a daughter, Barbaralee Trenary, Forest R.

R. a sister, Eileen Carson, Altanta; four brothers, Guy Gunning, Elwood R. R. 4, Glen Gunning and Ralph Gunning, both of Arcadia, and Russell Gunning, Atlanta; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m.

Wednesday in Frye Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Brown and the Rev. O.B. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
