Drury baa been a clerk for the past few years in different capacities in the State-House, and was lately in the office of the Secretary of State.

He says that certain parties are trying to make a scape goat of him, but that he will be able to clear his skirts, and that he intends to do so, even though hia revelations should criminate officials high in position. Charles A. Dana, editor of the Sun, learned this morning that an attachment had been issued against him from the supreme Court of the District of Columbia, which was the hands of United Statea Marshal iske. went to tie Marshal's office with his counsel and surrendered himself. A petition was then presented to juoge riiatcniora, praying ior issu anee of a writ of habeas corpus ordering the Marshal to bring Mr. Dana before the court ana snow cause wny he should be detained.

United States District Attorney Bliss asked for an adjournment, and the matter was finally set down for 2 o'clock Tuesday next. Dana meanwhile was allowed to'go -on parole, being, however, in technical custody of the court. With reference to the attachment against Mr. Dana, editor of the Sun, it appears that the subpoena was -served a short time since on Mr. Dana, commanding hia attendance in Washington to testify before the erand jury in the case entitled "the nited States against Frederick II- Snyder." He paid no attention to it and hence the attachment was issued.

He says that he knows nothing whatever about the case, and that it is a trick to get him in Washington.
