Some Homecoming Day exes and fans watched -happily as the Eigles overpowered and outran the red-clad boys from the bayou in perfect football weather. Except for the first minute, which saw the Cougars receive and up. two first downs', it was the-Eagles all the way. They blocked, and.

charged, with precision, even down to the third and fourth teams. Coach Odus Mitchell cleaned his hencb. of'everybody but the but the Cougars nevcr.never could a consistent drive clicking, and threatened only once. The two right halfbacks, Harold Bartlett and Richard Nutt, hard-running 190-pounders, did the majority of the scoring. Nutt blasted over for a couple of tallies and Bartlett did the same.
