See S. O. McDowell. 5-23 Texas Lutheran College Band (Seguin) of 50 pieces made a courtesy call upon Lockhart High School Friday afternoon giving a concert of numbers varied in type from chorale to college pep songs. The band was accompanied here by William F.

Kraushaar. president of the college, who said they had come for a courtesy visit to Loek- hart High School whose entrants to the Music Festival in Seguin had a good account of 1 President Kraushaar introduced the director of the band, R. R. Willmann. who also is Dean of Music at Texas Lutheran College, and the concert proceeded, each number heartily applauded by the enthusiastic audience of students.

During a "breathing spell" for the band members. President Kraushaar made a talk on Music, in which he said that "if performing of to be preserved for the next generation it must be done by colleges and schools Radio," he said, "has made having music so easy that there is no challenge to youth. So it is both the opportunity and duty of schools to enlist the youth of the land in the performing of music."
