He was predeceased by his parents, Lola May Matteson and Edgar Allen Bennett.

Mr. Bennett grew up in Heppner, OR and attended the University of Oregon before joining the Navy. He started his naval career in the V-12 Program in the 1940's. He attended specialized training in Oakland, CA, at Harvard University in Boston and the Naval War College in New Port, RI. He served four years (1964-68) in Japan.

Other duty stations were Alaska, the Philippines, Nevada, and Washington, D.C.. His last duty station was Whiting Field, Milton, FL. After retiring from the Navy in 1969 he worked for Escambia County School system at Washington High School for eighteen years. is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mildred McCaskill his son, Billy Glenn Settlett, and daughter-in-law, Ann Love Suttle, his grandchildren, Ashton Bennett Suttle of Charleston, SC, Elizabeth Ruby Suttle of Auburn, AL and Joseph Eugene Suttle and his wife, Dana Mast of Denver, CO. He also is survived by two great Cody Edward-Rio Suttle of Auburn, AL; Carson Joseph Suttle of Denver, CO; and brother, RobA.

COL CECIL C. CUPPS, US ARMY (RET) 1920-2006 Lt. Col Cecil C. Cupps, US Army 86, of Pensacola died Sunday, June 25, 2006. Survivors include a niece Susan Dunn; three nephews Michael Hopper; Carey Kress; and Scott Kress their spouses and children.

Cecil spent 21 years in the Army, including combat in WWII, and other overseas assignments. Among decorations are two Bronze Stars for valor and the Combat Infantry Badge. His wife predeceased him June, to whom he was married for 62 years. A Memorial Service is planned for Friday, June 30th, at 1:00 pm, at Cokesbury United Methodist Church, with Dr. Philip McVay and Connie Ragghianti officiating.

The family will receive friends in the Atrium of the church following the services. Contributions in memory of his life may be made to the Operating Fund of the church. PAULINE JACKSON DESTIN 1917-2006 Mrs. Pauline Jackson Destin, 89 of Cottage Hill, Florida, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at the local Covenant Hospice Care Center at West Florida Hospital.

She was born March 29, 1917 in Cuthbert, Georgia to Dudley Garrison Jackson and Rhoda Culpepper Jackson, and has been a resident of this area more than 65 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert C. Destin, parents, Dill and Rhoda Jackson, sisters Gert Matkin, Carolyn Hart, and a brother John Jackson. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dudley and Dallas (Nina) Destin, granddaughter and husband, Misty and John Holifield, step grandson and wife, Alvin and Sonya Booth, great grandson, Clayton Harvey, great granddaughter Ashlee Harvey, sister Dinah Domin, sister-in-law, Margaret Jackson, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends and her pets, Snuggles her dog, Birdie her Cockatiel, and Fonzy her cat. Family members serving as pallbearers are, Clayton Harvey, Lyn Hart, Wilson Hart, Ricky Jackson, Alvin Booth, Bruce Wiggins and John Holifield.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 30, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North-Cantonment with Rev. William Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 29, 2006 from 6:00 p.m.

He was born on March 21, 1933 in Artemus, KY to John Anna Kinder.

John was 20-year veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked for and retired from the Escambia County, FL. Roads Department. Mr.

Kinder was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Josephine; son, Denny; daughter, Tina; and three brothers, Hayden, Glenn and Kenneth. John is survived by his brother, Fred R. Kinder of Mary Esther, FL; grandson, Paul M. Welford granddaughter, Dawn M. Welford, both of Pensacola, FL.

Graveside service and interment will be 10:15 AM Friday, June 30, 2006 at Barrancas National Cemetery, with Father Jack Gray officiating. KATHIE LYNCH 1933-2006 JOHN A. KINDER 1933-2006 Kathie Lynch, age 72, of Pensacola, Florida, died Monday, June 26, 2006 at a medical center. Kathie was born in Turlock, CA, July 24, 1933, and was retired from Home Interiors Gifts. She was a member of Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church, life long volunteer for the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Campfire. She also spent countless hours with the Red Cross as a volunteer and was a member of the Navy Officers Wife Club.

Mrs. Lynch was preceded in death by her parents, Hurley Ruedalph and Floretta Rice Hogue; a brother, Wesley Murrin; and a sister, Lela Badar. Survivors include her husband for over 50 years, Daniel W. Lynch of Pensacola; a son, Daniel R. Lynch and wife, Colleen, of Albuquerque, NM; a daughter, Erin K.

Schwartz and husband, Ronald Norman, of Bloomfield, IN; three brothers, Thadeus Murrin and wife, Mary, of San Jose, CA, Ruedalph Donald Hogue and FL, and John Frank Hogue of wife, Dorothy, a of Bradenton, Yreka, CA; one sister, Colletta Grace Young of Spokecan, WA; one sister-in-law, Jannette Lee Pearson of Redding, CA; and six grandchildren, Daniel Thomas Lynch, Connor Mason Lynch, Ryan Alexander Lynch, Chelsie Nichole Schwartz, Rebecca Paige Schwartz and Ronald Norman Schwartz Ill. Memorial services will be Friday, June 30, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. at Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church. Dignity DORENA MARY DUFRENE POTTER 1933-2006 Dorena Mary DuFrene Potter, 72, of Pensacola died at home, Tuesday, June 27, 2006. She was born in Des Allemands, LA, lived a few years Columbus, GA, and had resided in Pensacola since 1957. Dorena and Norman worshipped at Olive Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Norman; sons, Maurice, of Portland, OR and Martin of WA; a brother, Naaman DuFrene, of Columbus, GA; a sister, Claire Hancock, of Pensacola, FL; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Parkway at 3:00 P.M.

Thursday, June 29, 2006, with Rev. Hardy Powers Ill, Pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment will be in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens. Under the dome The dome sits on 24 pilings, each measuring 15 feet. The new structure also includes: More than miles of rebar in the base. More than miles of rebar in the dome itself. Six to 8 inches of concrete at the bottom. Four to 5 inches all around the top.

Paint inside the dome that can withstand 92-mph winds. As for the home's durability, Magenheimer thinks his dome can take a beating. "I think it would have withstood what took the other house away," he said. "The engineering on this is just through the roof." JESSE LEE SOPER, SR. 1936-2006 Jesse Lee Soper, 69 of Milton, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2006.

Jesse was born on November 4, 1936 in Washington, DC. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a lifetime member of the NRA and the North American Hunter. He was preceded in death by; his mother, Bessie; father, Robert and brothers, Charles and Douglas. Survivors include; sister, Joann; daughters, Donna Sondra, Sandra, Cynthia, Colleen, Jessie and Patricia; eightgrandchildren and twelve great Memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 11:45 a.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery.
