Korea's 'Unwanted' Find Home 'Hi Hilo' Program Opens New Big Isle TV Channel itli California Foster Mother Kimberly Ann, the first child the Conleys adopted, was featured in "Seed From the East," an episode of "The Loretta Young Show" during the 1958-59 season, which Three tiny Korean-born girls adopted by a Covina, California, couple are helping tell an important story about the many Korean-American war orphans like themselves. Moreover, they are doing is like veteran actresses in a medium that challenges many an older performer. Two of the tots Vicki Sue Conley, 6, and Marcy Jo Conley, 4 will be seen on "The Loretta Young Show," in a teleplay about the "re- humanizing" of the tattered and frightened war orphans when they reach their new homes in this country. The story, entitled "The Unwanted," was written by the girls' foster mother, Mrs. Madeline Conley, from her own experiences.

She and her husband, Charles, a truck driver who brings home $33.50 a week, have still another Korean orphan, Kimberly Ann, 5, and two adopted sons of American parentage. Loretta Young Show (DO Sunday, 10 p.m. Director and Shell News reporter; Gil Thomas, Pan American World News reporter; Jack McCoy, emcee of the daily "Hawaiian Holiday with Jack McCoy" program; Muriel Waters, hostess of the daily matinee movie "Island and Captain Honolulu, who brings the Popeye cartoons to the kiddies daily. Dan O. Hunter, chief engineer, will explain the technical side of the linkage between Honolulu and Hilo.

Ezra J. Crane and Richard E. Mawson, general manager and manager respectively, will represent KMVI-TV on the dedication program. James Jaeger, general manager of KIMO, Hilo, will appear as operations manager of the KHJK facilities, on the grounds of the Nani-loa Hotel in Hilo. Hawaiian Television Service of Kaiser Broadcasting makes its bow to Hilo and the Big Island today (Sunday at 7 p.m. with a special dedicatory" program which officially opens Station KHJK, Channel 13, Hilo, according to Richard C. Block, vice-president and general manager, of Kaiser Hawaiian Village Television. The 30-minute program entitled "Hi Hilo," and opening with greetings from Lieutenant Governor James Kealoha will acquaint the Hilo television audience with the program structure, including local and A.B.C.

network features, the station facilities and the personnel of KHVH-TV, Channel 4, Honolulu. Programming of KHVII-, TV, in Honolulu, is rebroad-cast virtually in its entirety by KMVI-TV, Wailuku, Maui. This station then provides the link between Honolulu and Hilo, inasmuch as KHJK will carry the complete programming of KMVI-TV. With Stan Anderson, operations manager, as emcee, KHVH-TV will be represented on the program by its general manager, Richard C.
