C. THE INSIDE Of IT. Major Blanca Had Hard Work Getting Scab Wright Nominated. CfcrtersviUe Ga. September While the nomination of Scab Wright was apparently made with hearty unanimity the story which comes from be.

hind the scenes shows that all was not as pleasant and harmonious as it might have been fact Saab had a narrow escape from finding himself set aside for another. As early as Wednesday morning the delegates from the different counties began to put in an appearance and along with them were McGarrlty Jones Sibley and Blance all of whom have been spoken of as possible nominees. Zagk Hargrove was here early and his talk was for Saab Wright and his prediction was that Wright would be the man. The delegates held a caucus at night and here opposition was developed which WAS strong enough to have defeated Wright but it gave under. The opiniori was entertained that Wright waS an interloper who was afraid to come out Squarely for the party but desired endorsement at its hands.

Tie caucus adjourned without smoothing over the differences and again the next morning they came together. For three hours did the fight go on when a solution was at last had. In the mornings cautos which was secret a letter was read from Wright asking the endorsement of the party. This was not consented to and a vote for nomination was taken which showed the three- leaders to be Wright with 12. McOarrity with 10 and Sibley with 8 votes.

For some time the contest was waged until Wright was made the nominee by a small majority which was then made unanimous. POLITICS IN EARLY. The Situation Serious from Vlrislons In the Party. Blakely Ga. September 2.

Special. Never in Jfce history of Early county has so serious a political situation confronted us as at present The democrats. are divided in their views as to what is the best course to pursue while the third party openly avows its determination to elect all the eounty officers from its own ranks. As adding to the seriousness of the complication there comes tile assurance that several of our county officers and others are going to make the race for the various offices whether nominated by the democratic party or not What the organized democracy will do remains to be seen. We have a new executive committee elected and with the same spirit existing which has been 50 rampant for the past few months in purging the old executive committee of.

all third partyism we naturally expect here in Early county during the coming campaign a very interesting political warfare. Third Party Strength In Forsyth. Gumming Qa September 2. Special The third party of Forsyth county is on a boom. They actually polled 274 votes in primary yesterday.
