Oni On Results Yesterday's results in the Oni Oni Tennis Championship at Waialae: Torn Somerville and Haunanl Acker-man beat Bobby Kau and Barbara Lee, 6-2; Bill Curlett and Chris Milne beat Roy Walker and Marian Durant by default; Don Schult and Kauka beat Peter Barlowmew and Rosemary Chun, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3; Jerry Fisher and Bobbie Marlin Few and Far Between Spotty. That one word pretty well sums up the fishing action lately.

After very slow days early in the week, things improved slightly yesterday with mahimahi, aku and ono showing up. This weekend? Predicted rain could hamper action somewhat. The marlin have few and far between. Last one reported was last Thursday's 150-pounder nabbed by Sergeant Lamonds of Schofield Barracks fishing aboard the Hickam Recreation Boat. Small Fish Plentiful Last weekend turned out to be a pretty fair one for smaller fish.

Bill Shelton's Catherine S. with Rudy Peterson, Jimmy Woolaway, Robert Purvis and John Coonley aboard, came home with three flags flying lacking only a marlin. Peterson, head of the Bank of Hawaii who leaves shortly for San Francisco and his new post and president of the Bank of America, bagged two mahimahi. Other boats, namely Fred Erickson's Valkyrie, David Gonsalves' Oinah, Bill Dotson's Islander and Charley Yamamoto's Lynell also had good hauls of ono, mahimahi. aku and small tuna over the weekend.

Kaneohe Results Art Burt's Pbki II and the Mary D. combined to win total catch honors in the Invitational Fishing tournament put on by the Kaneohe Yacht Club Saturday. They had 46 fish weighing a total of 84 pounds. Worcester Hodgman aboard the Sashimi and Hal Swift's Miss Behave took second place in the tourney with Dr. John Knight's Chibi and Bill Dailey's Shana nailing down third spot.

Big Ahi Off Kauai Big news fishingwise on Kauai comes from Edwin Ching of Hanalei who caught three huge ahi (yellowfin tuna) on artificial lures while trolling off the Hanalei area. The largest of the trio weighed 201 pounds, the second checked in at 185 and the third was a "mere" 104-pounder. That's a 490-pound total for three ahi big league stuff in anybody's book. Kat Nakagawa was fishing with Ching at the time. Two days later, Ching went back to the same spot to try his luck again, but this time came home with a more routine trio of 15-pounders.

Watari Lands Marlin Also on the Garden Isle, Hideo Watari caught a 185-pound marlin after a tough 40-minute battle fishing off the north shore with Harold Kobayashi. The two also brought back a 35-pound ono. Walter Koga pulled in several ahi in the 15-pound class, while Fujio Haraguchi caught six kawakawa in other north shore action. Ikito Muraoka landed a 50-pound ulua near the Polynesian Inn at Koloa right alongside the beach. Just goes to show, writtes Shigeo Akaji, that tourists on Kauai can make some nice catches from the front porch of their hotel if they so desire.

3 Aikido Aces LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10 (AP) Eddie Garcia of Denver upset Mexico City's Jose Luis Cruz last night, winning a decision in 10 rounds by a wide margin. Cruz was the 2-1 favorite and became the aggressor at the outset.

But after a fairly good showing for three rounds Garcia began to crowd him, backed him into Sheehan beat Bill Foster and Spalding, 8-6, 6-4. Nancy Golf O.C.C. PAR C. W. Smith and George Hol-lingsworth tied with two up on par in a match game at the Oahu Country Club.
