Accommodate All County and City Official At a meeting of the joint committee If the city council and the county commission appointed to confer in regard to the plant of constructing a SIOvOOOO court house and my hall.

which win be held at 10 o'clock this morning. It is practically assured that the committee will go on record as favoring an election to determine whetner a bond Issue shall be made. Both county and city were provided at the last meeting of the general assembly with the necessary machinery in the way of leglslathe enactment authorising a bond Issue of 500000 by the city and a like sum by the county. and. as two committees seem to be a unit on toe need of' such a building as is contemplated it I tow squarely up to the taxpayers of' the city as to whether the bonds shall be Issued.

Clifford Anderson chairman of the board of county commissioners stated last night that he felt sure there would be no hitch In regard to the joint committee coming to an agreement The present plan Is to erect a building which shall cost SI 1000000 and be so arranged as to accommodate all the city and county offices. It will be decidedly the handsomest and most expensive structure of its kind In the south. SEAB WRIGHT OPENS FIGHT Prohibition Leader and L. Seely Start Anniston Campaign Anniston. Ala.

Waterworks Investigation 111 Make Report Wlta Several Recommendation Believed That Report Will Be Fully Indorsed.

lne city council will meet in regular semi-monthly session this afternoon at o'clock. Two important matters to come up will be the report from the Auditorium- Armory Company and the special coun- il committee on the bids' for the building. and the report of the special waterworks investigating corgpiittee The armory report win recommend that the bid of Gude Walker be ac cepted. Colonel Clifford. Anderson will make a statement to council.

It is believed that the recommendation of the Company and committee will be adopt- id The report of the special waterworks committee will recommend the follow- ng Improvements in the waterworks system. What Was Recommended. LOat the new water main from the river to Hemphill station be completed rapidly as possible. That the new reservoir be completed aoon as poss That a new main be laid from Hemphill station Into the cit on the north side of the city' In the near future. That the new filter plant be bought and installed as soon as possible.

That a basin be built at the river between the pumps and Inc intake so to clear the water of sand. That new clear water and new coagulating basins be built for the new reservoir. That more service pipes be laid in the' ity as soon as possible. That a new pump be placed at the river station in the near future. o1at land adjoining the new reservoir bought.

And last but not least that a new lump be bought- and placed at Hempbill station at once. All of these Improvements have been recommended by the water board and general manager. The action of this committee al though It met behind closed doors. was published exclusively in The Constitution yesterday morning. It is understood that the recommendations of committee win meet with the unanimous approval of the council.

Other matters to come before council be In the nature of routine papers which have been acted upon by the regular committees. Tuberculosis la Cats. From The Revue Vaterlnalre. Two observations which have Just been made public by M. Bergeon tend to demontrabe toot tuberculosis among cats which la comparatively frequent may be caught from human beings.

The first case is that of a cat which died to a complete state of ph hlsls af tsr having lived for several years In contact with a girl who eventually succumbed to- pulmonary tuberculosis. A post-mortem examination of the cat was made and mmary granulations were found on the peritoneum. the In testines. the liver and the lungs. The mesenterlo ganglia' were hard and of Inordinate size and contained caseous tubercle In the second case the eat.

a five- year old Angora had tired- In. condi tlons similar to those in the case just mentioned. In contact with the girl wm died of tuberculosis. In the body of tMs cat also were found abundant to- Oerculosls lesions In the Intestines and less marked ones in the lungs. In neither of these eases was the diagnosis verified by a bacteriological examination or by experimental Inoculations however.

It seems evident that the two rats took the disease from the sick girls. wnose expectorations they were frequently seen to. consume. Professor Petit of Atfort who has cot- tect a great number of observations regarding- tuberculosis among cats. drew the attention of the' tuberculosis congress of 1506 to the danger to human beings resulting tram cats Infected in this manner.
