Since the train he was supposed to take for Birmingham left however he has been seen in Savannah. With the clerk. at the ulaskI house Griffin left two revolvers some cartridges and 325 in money. CABBAGES CUT INTO COLD SLAW Wreck of Freight Train Occurs Near Tifton. Titian. Ga. September 26. Special.

Train No. 22 a through freight from Macon to Jacksonville on the Georgia Southern and was wrecked this morning about 3 o'clock at 101 mile post 4 miles north of TIlton. The wreck was caused by loose wheel which a sharp curve had thrown inside striking the end of a switch frog. Eight cars were derailed and six of them split Into kindling wood. not enough of one being found to get the initials and number.

They were loaded with miscellaneous freight. which was scattered an over the woods two cars of cabbage being cut into claw. Fortunately the engine and cab with four cars did not leave the tract and no one was hurt although the conductor and flagman were pretty badly shaken up. Trains were delayed about twelve hours. No.

6 northbound transferred to No 3. which was only a few minutes behind the' freight and passengers and mall were only delayed a short while. Superttead- ent Grady arrived from Macon- with' a wrecking train about 12 o'clock and soon had the track cleared. The scattered freight was brought to Tltton to be overhauled and checked. The auditor and clerk ed today to complete- this work.
