to be used for a big base hospital. The land Is known as the Turner tract and' fronts on the Rigging Mill road. Plans of the war department can for buildings covering 15 acres each ward in the hospital to accommodate 1000 beds. The. hospital plant will represent an expenditure of 500000.

Machine Gun Battalion May Entrain Next Week Without' Complete Arms DT Prank Cruiser. Macon. Ga. August 23. Special.

Effort is being made to equip the no men of the first machine gun battalion for entrainment for their concentration camp at Mlneola Long Island. early next week. The probabilities are that the battalion will not wait for complete arms or accoutre- mint. but will pick up In Mlneola What does not arrlvehere In time. The officers of the new unit are working early and late to give speed to the movement.

Much interest centers about th expected arrival of Major General F. J. Kaman. the division commander. who Is expected here Saturday.

Camp Wheeler is not ready for the occupancv of the troops of the division and guesses on the probable date of occupancy are widely apart ranging from September 5 to October 1. CANTONMENT MAPS OUT. Southern Railway Distributes New Booklet. In order. that its patrons may get a more accurate idea of the locations 01 the various army cantonments throughout the country.

the Southern Railway system has complied a map showing the location of all the camps and then. on smaller sheets. a map of each individual camp. showing entrances and transportation facilities. Young- army officers having learned the art.

of reading and drawing during their course of training. by glancing at the maps can tell closely the condition of the terrain In which all the camps are located. and civilians may retain an accurate conception by reading. The booklet containing the maps is unusually compact. MRS.

IDA INNES SENT TO STATE PRISON FARM Mrs. Ida May Innes. convicted several months ago of larceny after trust. In connection with the disappearance of the Nelms sisters. was sent to the state farm at Mllledgevllle Thursday at noon to begin serving the year sentence originally Imposed upon her by Judge Ben H.

Hill. of the superior court. Mrs. Innes' appeal was denied by the court. of appeals several weeks ago.

Her husband. He was serving a life sentence for a murder committed in LaGrange more than nine years ago. Circulars. offering a reward for his capture were scattered broadcast Thursday. S. E.

Woodson. a pioneer undertaker of Atlanta who has been in that busl- ness in the city for more than fourteen years. has bought out the interest of Mr. Wise. of the firm- of Hoden.

Hunter Wise. and from now on the establishment will be carried on under the name of Boden. Hunter Woodson. Mr. Woodson has many friends in Atlanta who will be Interested in his re cent business transaction.

A College Park street car collided with a wagon driven by J. W. Howe. a farmer of Roswell. at oorsyth and Gannett streets Thursday afternoon throwing him violently to the street.

Witnesses stated that Stewart saw Graham on the street In a crowd. exclaimed There he Is. and attacked him with a piece of baggy shaft knock- lag the cotton man down twice Graham rose. and emptied his pistol Into the blacksmith. Some private trouble between the men is said to have caused the killing.
