Klvett were shot and killed by V. Lamden. a member of the firm. Bad feeling had existed between' the Klvett brothers and Lamden for some tiro growing out or charges made by the relatives of Larrxlbn and a sister of tho Kvetts. The shooting between the broth- era and Laniden occurred during the busiest part of the day.

month ago the Klvetts attempted to kill Lamden. Inflicting a. knife. wound on him and they had frequently threatened to kill him since then. This morning they appeared In the doorway of Trice office.

Lamden was informed of their coming. As they appeared In the doorway they drew their pistols. but Lamden fired with a shotgun before they could shoot killing B. F. Kivett Instantly.

W. Kivett rushed on Laonden with his revolver. The men wrestled over the weapon which Klvett succeeded in firing several times without result. Lamden finally succeeded in drawing his revolver and shooting Kivett three times. Lamden was uninjured.
