None of the relatives received a cent. Suit was brought to an effort to break the will on the ground that Mrs. Furman had been unduly influenced and was not la her right mind. There am about fifteen nephews and nieces who would have been benefited. The case will be appealed to the supreme court.

Hilton. of Pearl. went Into bankruptcy. the liabilities being about 20000 with assets for only a small portion of the sum. On investgatlon tit the referee it was found that the father of the members or the firm.

A. C. Hilton claimed an Indebtedness of 15000 on a promissory note given by his tons and the father took possession of the property In settlement or this claim. The validity of this transaction was tested In the bankruptcy court and the other creditors obtained a Judgment for 4300. State Revenue Agent Adams now brings proceedings to recover the taxes on this note for 15000 held by A.

C. Hilton. and it seems that the defendant must either plead guilty to fraud in bankruptcy or settle the taxes on the note as It had not been given in for assessment. Taxes are- claimed for a period of three years. and the entire claim amounts to about red.

The- matter has en referred to the Simpson Bounty board of supervisors by Mr. Adams with the request that the note be placed orrthe assessment rolls. May Withdraw from Trust. Jackson. Miss.

A. E. Willis. the alleged forger who Is wanted in Atlanta. and Charleston as well as here was rearrested this morning upon Information from the southern cities.

His northern relatives had raised 16 for him and a satisfactory settlement was made- with the Citizens bank. which received back 600 of the money on Willis' worthless cheeks. The Monticello I. which was also one or his victims. agreed not to prosecute.

His counsel was arranging to adjust the claims against him In Charleston when Willis was rearrested. Commonwealth Attorney YenEble on the ground that to accept the settlements offered would be to compound felony. decided to prosecute. and. under an Increased bond or HOP the prisoner was held for trial.

Charley Pagan was found root guilty of larceny from the house.
