A son of the late Joseph and Josephine Snickle Duffy, he belonged to St. Joseph's Catholic Church and held membership in Hanover Moose and Hanover Republican Club. Mary I. Fetrow, 48. of Dover RD 4, Weigelstown, died Tuesday at 12:35 a.m. at the home of her son-in-iaw and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.

Robert Gentzler, 2737 Anita Drive, near Dover. She was the widow of Edward Fetrow, who died in i 1971. Mrs. Fetrow was a member 1 of Rohlers Lutheran Church. She is survived by two other 'daughters, Mrs.

Jerry Leib, 3440 W. Canal Road. Dover, i and Mrs. Richard Dehoff, York RD four grandchildren and five brothers and sisters, Charles Foust, California; Amos Foust, Red Lion; Jacob Foust, North Carolina; Mrs. Helen Dern.

York, and Mrs. Emma Hutchinson, Red Lion. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Rohlers Lutheran Church with Mrs. i Fetrow's pastor, the Rev.

John Ritter, officiating. Interment will be in the cemetery adjoining the church. Mr. Colehouse's pastor, will officiate at funeral services Friday at 2 p.m. at the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St.

Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Mrs. Marie F.Stauffer SHREWSBURY Mrs. Marie Forry Stauffer, 68, wife of the late Clair S.

Stauffer and formerly of Shrewsbury, died Tuesday at 2:15 a.m. at Memorial Osteopathic Hospital, York. A native of Manheim Township, she was a daughter of the late Silas H. and Emma Bortner Forry, and was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Jefferson. She resided in Shrewsbury from 1948 until two years ago when she became a resident of Barley Convalescent Home, York.

Surviving are: Two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Kneller, Glen Rock RD Mrs. Clarence Werner, Jefferson, and a brother, Paul S. Forry, 40 S. Main St.

Her pastor, the Rev. Glenn K. Flinchbaugh, will officiate at the funeral on Friday at 2 p.m. from the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery.

Charges of interfering with interstate shipment have lieen brought by the FBI against a Windsor RI) 1 man who they said Monday night offered to sell a truekioad of beer on-signed to him to a city policeman. Clair Maurice Herbst, 35, a truck driver for Kastern States Transportation New Jersey, was lodged in York Countv Prison early Tuesday where he is being detained on a 1967 cost attachment issued by the local courts. An FBI spokesman said Herbst likely will remain in York County prison until Friday to answer the court process ami then would be taken before U.S. Magistrate Sebastian I), Natale, Harrisburg, for arraignment on the federal charge. City police, acting on a tip Monday night, attempted to purchase 1.595 cases of beer from Herbst at a quoted price ol $1,600.

at Hanover General Hospital where he was a patient 13 days. He had sold his farm produce for over 40 years at the Hanover Market House. A retired farmer, he was the husband of Mrs. Bessie Swope Renoll, who died Jan. 27, 1964.

A son of the late Albert H. and Ellen E. Bupp Renoll, he was a life long member of St. Paul's (Dub's) United Church of Christ Congregation. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs.

Stermer, 27, of 46 Church Seven Valleys." was admitted to York Hospital ith a fractured left leg following a motorcycle accident at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday in Dover Township. He was reported satisfactory. Northern Regional police said Stermer as riding on the Glen Gery Brick Co. property near Fox Run and East Canal Roads when his 'cycle bit a rock, went out of control and upset, spilling the rider.

Dovei Fire Co. ambulance took Stermer to the hospital. Three-Car Crash No one was injured in a three-car crash at i a.m. Tuesday on Main St. in Stewartstown, just soutli of Pennsylvania Ave.

Damages totaled $1,500. State police said the mishap occurred as an auto driven Vivian Vicars, Stewartstown, was backing onto Main St. from a private driveway. Theft Attempt Futile Burglars at Behrensen Cycle Shop.

302 N. Broad apparently failed in an attempted cycle (heft at 10.35 p.m. Monday at the shop. City police said a back window was broken to enter the shopand a license tag was removed from a cycle in the work area. It was placed on a new 750 cc vehicle which the intruders tried to ram through the front door.

However, police said the would-be thieves were unable to get the cycle out of the shop. Damages to the door, window and cycle accessories were estimated at $250. Car Overturns A Stewartstown area man was treated at Memorial Osteopathic Hospital for multiple injuries following a one-car accident at 9:05 p.m. Monday on the Red Lion Stewartstown Road just north of Stewartstown. Edwards, 27. Stewartstown RD 1, sustained cut of the left hand and forehead when his southbound auto hit the embankment and flipped over on its roof, state police said. Lucy Miller Spangler, died Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at his home, Seven Valleys RD1. Mr. Spangler was born in Codorus Township, son of the late Frank and Mantilla Shearer Spangler. He had been a resident of Seven Valleys since 1923.

He was a member of the Sunday School and the United Church of Christ Congregation of Zion (Shaffer's) Union Church, near Hanover Junction; Seven Valleys and Jefferson fire companies and Firemen's Relief Association of the Jefferson company. Surviving are: Two children, Mrs. Gordon Myers, Seven Valleys RD1; Mrs. Carroll Kerchner Spring Grove RD eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a sister. Mrs.

Estella Doll, Glenville. The Rev. Glenn K. Flin-chbaugh, Mr. Spangler's pastor, will officiate at funeral services Friday at 10 a.m.

Anders, 69, of 131 Jefferson husband of the late Mrs. Mary A. Anders, died at 11:05 p.m. Monday in York Hospital. He was born in LeGore, son of the late George W.

and Mary Hefner Anders. A retired employe of the Hallam Furniture he was a member of the AARP and Jolly Seniors Club. Surviving are a stepson, Robert M. Hale, 1351 Irving Road: two sisters, Mrs. Orpha Horner and Mrs.

Roger E. Kcech, pastor of Messiah United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. William R. Markle HANOVER William Roy Markle, 77, a retired Marine Corps chief warrant officer and Masonic high priest, died Tuesday at the home of his sister, Mrs.

Edna Shriver, 271 Princess where he resided. A native of York County, he was a son of the late Albert D. and Catherine Morelock Markle. His wife, Mrs. Doris I.

Markle died Jan. 12. 1968. Mr. Markle had served 32 years in the Marine Corps prior to his retirement, having served during both World Wars I and II, and reached the rank of chief warrant officer.

He was a member of Mission Bay Lodge 771, Free and Accepted Masons, in California, and served as high priest in Royal and Select Masters of California. His other memberships included Helix Council 53 of California; York Forest 30. Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and the Mc-Sherrystown Moose. He is survived by a stepson, George M. Markle, Lakeside, two step daughters.

Broad Lititz, Lancaster tounty, after an illness of jeveral weeks. He was the iusband of Mrs. Minnie Arnold Lease, who died in 1968. A son of the late Harvey and llen Heilman Lease, he formerly resided in Lancaster. A retired machinist, Mr.

Lease was formerly employed by the Black and Decker Corporation's DeWalt Division at Lancaster. Surviving are two sisters, the Misses Sadie and Marie Lease, of York. Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Cemetery in Manchester, York County. The Rev.

Armstrong. 63, husband of Mrs. Lola L. Hildebrand Armstrong, 2168 S. Queen was dead on arrival Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.

at York Hospital. He was stricken while a passenger in the automobile being driven by his wife on Mt. Rose Avenue and later was conveyed to the hospital. He had been in ill health for nine and one-half years. A native of Hagerstown, he was a son of the late Winton and Mary Armstrong.

Prior to his illness, he was employed as a mechanic with Allegheny Pepsi-Cola Co. Surviving, besides his wife, are: Four sisters. Mrs. Edna Kohler, 2 Water Jacobus; Mrs. Violet Wiggins and Mrs.

Elva V. Shellenberger, both of Lancaster, and Mrs. Margaret Boll, 2165 Meadowview Drive. The funeral services will be held Friday at 10 30 a.m. at the William E.

Evans, 97, widow of William M. Evans, died at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Acres where she had been a resident several years. Mrs. Evans was born in Adams County, near East Berlin, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Ann Lease Beck.

Markle Mowery, Hanover RD 5, died Monday at 9:15 p.m. at Lebanon Veterans Hospital. Mr. Mowery was employed by National Can Co. and was a Navy veteran of World War II, having served with a PT Squadron in the South Pacific.

He belonged to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hanover Fire and Harold H. Bair Post 14, American Legion. He was a life-member of Hanover VFW and Amvets Posts. Mr.

Mowery was the son of the late Hilda R. Mowery Hoff. Surviving also are: A daughter, Mrs. Sonja M. Edwards, 36 George a son, Patrick C.

York. The Rev. William Walker. IE Memorial services for the Rev. Samuel Abraham Snyder who died Sept.

10 at Dover (Del.) Hospital, were held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Dover (Del.) Presbyterian Church where was an associate pastor. Rev. Snyder, who was 63. was the son of the late Rev.

and Mrs. Samuel A. Snyder of Hallam. His body was donated to the Anatomical Society for research. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Rev.

Snyder also attended Oberlin College and Seminary in Ohio. He was active in the former Evangelical United Brethren Church and had served pastorates in centra! Pennsylvania and Westminster. Md. While in Westminster, Rev. Snyder was director of town and country church development for six states in the Middle Atlantic area of the National Council of Churches.

From 1962 to 1971 Rev. Snyder was executive secretary for the Delaware Council of Churches. He later became pastor of the Goldsboro (Md.) United Methodist Church and transferred from Dover to He directed a federal health care program for inhabitants of migrant labor camps and was secretary to a Dover (Del.) group dedicated to "People of Peace" program. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Beard Snyder; a son, David, of Richmond, a daughter, Mrs.

Catherine Lemon, of Mathor Air Force Base in California; three brothers, H. Elston Snyder, of Riverside, P. Stanford Snyder, of 953 Grantley Road, and the Rev. William A. Snyder, of Baltimore, and two sisters, Mrs.

Doretha Dietz. of there until 1930 when he came to York. Leaving the local Good Shepherd Church he accepted a call to St, John's Lutheran Church at Pittston. Pa. He remained there until 1959 when he became pastor of St.

John's Lutheran Church in Pekin, N.Y., where he served until 1961; Rev. Goette completed his active ministry in 1968 at Immanue! Church at Kingston. N.Y. Kev. and Mrs.

135 S. Harley from 1930-42, died Thursday in Tucson, where he and his wife, Mrs. Marie Brauer Goette, resided at 7349 E. Eli Drive. He was 81 and death followed a lengthy illness.

Rev. Goette celebrated 50 years in the ministry in 1967 while he was pastor, of Im-manuel Lutheran Church a( Kingston, N.Y., and where he was serving when he retired in 1968. He and Mrs. Goette had been residing in Tucson since his retirement. A 1916 graduate of Concordia Seminary, St.
