"TOM" WALKER T. W. "Tom" Walker, 79, of Braxton died Oct. 26, 1972, at Simpson General Hospital, Mendenhall. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m.

Saturday from Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Dr. W.H. Wilkinson, his son-in-law, officiated, and interment was at Braxton Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, of Magee was in charge of arrangements.

Born Dec. 14, 1892, at McComb, he was a retired rural mail carrier whose retirement in 1957 followed 43 years service. Having lived most of his life in Simpson County, he was a member of Braxton Bantist. Church, where he served as a deacon for 15 years and as church treasurer for 32 years. He was also a member of Braxton Masonic Lodge No.

465 and Braxton Chapter No. 311 Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Letha Walker, Braxton; two daughters, Mrs. John M.

"Ruth" Brown, Saraland, and Mrs. W. H. "Billie Sue" Wilkinson, Alexandria, five grandchildren; three brothers, Gus Walker, Odgen, Utah, G. P.

Walker, Jackson, and Joe M. Walker, Auburn, and four sisters, Miss Bess Walker, Miss Gene Walker, and Miss Stella Walker; Jackson, and Mrs. J. E. Gage, Artesia, New Mexico.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Brown, Will Wilkinson, Jeff Wilkinson, Tom Wilkinson, John C. Garner, and John M. Brown. MRS. NOLIE BUSH WHITE Mrs.

Nolie Bush White, 91-year-old resident of Mobile, died Oct. 26, 1972, at Mobile. She had experienced a lenghty illness. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday from Pinola Baptist Church with the Rev.

Joe H. Stovall and the Rev. Reuben Compere officiating. Interment was at Pinola Cemetery. Upton Funeral Home of Mendenhall was in charge of arrangements.

A native Simpson Countian and a former resident of Pinola, she was born July 17, 1881. She was a member of Pinola Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Miss Annie Lou White, Mobile, four sons, Milton White, Wigins, William W. White, Mendenhall, Alton White, Mendenhall, and J. E.

White, Pinola; two brothers, John Henry Bush, Pinola, and J. A. Bush, Mendenhall; and one sister, Mrs. Ella Sheppard, Mendenhall. Serving as pallbearers were John Milton White, Joseph L.

White, Alan Blount, John Edwin White, Parker Dykes, and James D. Giles, Jr. HOWARD E. FLOYD Howard E. 82, of Route 2, Magee, died Oct.

27, 1972, at Simpson General Hospital, Mendenhall, after an extended illness. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday from Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Messer, the Rev.

David Watson, and the Rev. Quenton Floyd officiated, and burial was at Corinth Cemetery. Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements. The Simpson County native, born July 6, 1890, was a veteran of World War I and a retired farmer. He is survived by his widow, Mrs.

Etta Ree Walker Floyd, Magee; two sons, Howard Floyd, and Craig Floyd, Magee; one daughter, Mrs. Rita Floyd Purser, Star; three brothers, Rowan Floyd, Magee, J. B. Floyd, Magee, and Charlie W. Floyd, Edwards; five sisters, Mrs.

Louvenia Young, Gerber, Mrs. Ina Napier, Seminary, Mrs. Lenora Jones, Pearl, Mrs. Iona Jones, Magee, and Mrs. Alno Varner, D'Lo; six grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

WILLIAM A. GREEN William A. Green, 78, of Route 2, Magee, died Oct. 29, 1972, at Simpson General Hospital, Mendenhall. Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m.

Tuesday from Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The Rev. Dan West officiated, and interment was at Goodwater Baptist Church Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, of Magee was i in charge of arrangements. The Alabama native was born Jan.

16, 1894. He was a member of Goodwater Baptist Church, a World War I veteran, and a member of VFW Post No. 49. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Hilda Tullos Green, Magee; one sister, Mrs.

Theresia Wasser, Mt. Vernon, one niece, Mrs. Alma Alexander, Mobile, one step-daughter, Mrs. Helen Walley, Lucedale; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Earl Alford, Wiley Ainsworth, Bob Kalka, Henry Thurman, Bob Jones, and Jimmy Puckett.

J. Franklin of Jackson visited the Henry Bushs Sunday. Jason Hales celebrated a birthday last week. regret to note that Mrs. W.J.

Banks remains on the sick list. Mrs. Nolie Bush White of Mobile, passed away Thursday. Funeral services were held Saturday at Pinola Baptist Church. The Rev.

Joe Stovall of Jackson brought the message. Interment was at Pinola Cemetery. Mrs. C. H.

Allen of Moss Point spent the weekend here. She visited her brother in Jackson, who remains quite ill. and Mrs. James Giles, and attended funeral of Mrs. Kate Giles. Homecoming set at New Hope Homecoming Day will be held Sunday, November 5, at New Hope Baptist Church in Simpson County. Services will begin at 11 a.m.

and dinner will be served on the church grounds. Afternoon services will immediately follow. Featured singers for the services will be the Gospel Messengers of Florence and the Cen-Trells Gospel Singers of Jackson. The public is cordially invited to attend, and all former members and pastors. are especially welcome.
