Thursday, May 18, 1989 at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby G. Jones officiating. Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements and burial was at Stonewall Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs.

Lula W. Grubbs; 4 sons, J.B. Grubbs of Mendenhall, Earl Grubbs of Prentiss, Shelby Grubbs of Brandon, Troy Grubbs of Florence; 2 daughters, Sue Herrin of Braxton and Carolyn Grubbs of Jackson; a brother, A. Hardin Grubbs of Mendenhall; a sister, Mrs. Xemenia Harrison of Mendenhall; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Richard Grubbs, Paul Grubbs, Mark Grubbs, Jeff Herrin, Tony Herrin, Demery Grubbs. Mrs. Mamie Estelle Arender Mrs. Mamie Estelle Arender, 80, of Taylorsville, died Tuesday, May 16, 1989 at Rolling Acres Retirement Center in Raleigh. The Smith County native was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 1989 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Sidney Davis, Rev. Danny Chaney and Rev. Billy Ballard officiating.

Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements and burial was at Liberty Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Hulon L. Arender; 2 sons, Mr. Paul Arender of Brandon and Rev.

Don Arender of Soso; 5 daughters, Mrs. Daisy Wood of Richland, Mrs. La Nell Ashley of Mize, Mrs. Dimple Jones of Hammond, Mrs. Alice Anding of Flowood, and Mrs.

Mary Beth Hendricks of Brandon; a brother, Mr. Andrew Sullivan of Collins; 2 sisters, Mrs. Pearlie McQueen of Raleigh and Miss Lou Ella Sullivan of Houston, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Betty Wilson of Pearl; 24 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
