TJ3 A STRANGE TRAGEPY. In Which Suspected Boy Relieved From Blame. WBUCBTIIU January 9. Special. Oa yesterday an Inquest was held over the dead body jo little Oscar Ford a boy 01 about fifteen years of age and ton of J.

Ford of this county. He and Dan Cooper. a colored bey on Mr. Fords place hat taco out bun ting ld had stopped on their return home to try each others fire arms at a mark the negro boy having a pistol. Oscar shot the pistol and rocked both barrels of the gun and handed it to the negro boy to shoot which he did Oscar telling him at the same time to ee careful that the left hammer would not stand.

The ntg19 boy went to see bow close he shot ti the mark and returned to where Oscar was standing swinging the gun in his right hand. The evidence disclosed that at this point Oscar for mischief pointed the empty plitol at the nero boy and- told him to lookout to which the negro paid no attention as he stated he did not think Oscar aimed to harm him and about this time the gun fired. the whole load lodging in the right tide of the little boy brukillrone of his ribs and driving it pertly In. The negro says he don't know how the gun cause to go oft but it Is supposed he started Innocently however. to raise the gun up is Oscar said lookout and the hammer striking his body In tome way went duwo.

The boy lived only a short while but before he died said for none of the family to harm Dan about It as he did it secidently The jury rendered the verdict accordingly finding that he was accidentally killed by an Cooper bnibynegllgent and careless handling of the Mr. E. Not heeding the warning Coleman continued to advance and when in about six feet of Mr. WUholt made a sudden spring with the ax uplifted. At this crisis Mr. Wilhoit discharged his pistol end Coleman fell the ball entering his shoulder near the.

neck. The shot will produce death. The physicians In attendance are unable to trace the direction taken by the ball. Another newspaper will be started In rtemnle during the present month and will be edited by one of the ablest men In Georgia. The parties desire their names withheld for the John Spencer who was arrested In Atlanta was taken to Cartersville and lodged In jail.

A negro boy named Henry Sweet seventeen years old In Mitchell county killed a boy about the same age In the' country near here. The wounded negro died and a commit. ment trial resulted in the acquittal of the accused. Another sad tragedy occurred near the same place Little Ellis an year son of Sir. A. T. The capacity of the factoty has been increased 85 per cent. the new machinery has all been put In and adjusted and work will be returned to-day with far more orders thancan possibly be filled. One day last week Mr. J. E.

Thompson a few miles from this city in Lee county was destroyed by fire Tuesday night.
