A. M. Blake two miles south of this place was the scene of a most rending tragedy yesterday after. in which one of Mr. Blakea sons lost his life at the hands or a brother.

SHOWING HOW TO SHOOT. Je Blake aged about seventeen had but yesterday morn ng returned from III military school to spend vacation and taking up a shot. gun breech loading he was proposing to demonstrate to his brother Charlie something of the manner- in which lie had been taught to handle a gun. June 13 Special One of the severest storms that ever visited Athens struck the cit about seven o'clock this evening and threatened to both blow and wash the city away.
