Jernigan was a native of Bay Mlnette, and had been a resident of the Pensacola area for over 39 years. She attended Olive Baptist Church and was an active member of the T.E.L. Sunday School Class. Mrs. Jernigan was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Jernigan; her son, Gene W.

Jernigan; her grandson, Joe Marion Galloway; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Pecor-aro. Survivors include five daughters, Opal Mortman of Houston, Jane Wallace of Fairhope, Mattie Lou Lee of Pace, Bonnie Coats of Bolivar, and Jo Fletcher of Pensacola; four sons, Frank Jernigan of Pittsburgh, Dick Jernigan of Greensburg, Jimmy Jernigan of Garland, Texas, and Joe Jernigan of LaPorte, Texas; 26 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. "B.Q." Ryan, Captain, U.S. Navy retired, 69, of Pensacola died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1993, at his residence. "B.Q." was born in Columbus, and had resided in Pensacola since 1 978. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War.

His medals and commendations include the Navy Air Medal; Navy Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal; Legion of Merit; the World War II Victory; the United Nations Service Medal-Korea, Korean PUC, Occupation Medal-Japan; and the National Defense Medal. B.Q. was a member of the Nativity Catholic Church, Hillview Road, Pensacola. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Catherine A. Ryan of Pensacola; son and daughter-in-law, Major Scott Ryan, U.S.M.C., and wife Debbi of Havelock, N.C.; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy White adn husband Jon of Alexandria, and Patty Vicker and husband Dan of Tallahassee; brother, Dwaine Ryan; sisters, Allene Jacques, Donna Rhodes, Diana Paris and Annette Georgakapolous, all of Washington state; and three grandchildren, Jonathan White, Matthew and Ashley Ryan.

Mr. Switzer was a native of Detroit and had lived in Venice since his retirement from Ford Motor Company in 1973. He was a member or the Venice Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Eileen Switzer of Venice; sons, David P. Switzer of Pensacola and John Switzer of Florence, daughter, Jeanne L.

Arquette-Koehlerof Dunbar-ton, N.H.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with the Rev. Bob Ellis officiating. Entombment will be in Bayview Memorial Park.

BAYVIEW FISHER-POU CHAPEL, 3351 Scenic is in charge of arrangements. MOLLIE A. THOMPSON Mollie A. Thompson, 93, of Milton died Wednesday night, Sept. 22, 1993, in a local hospital after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Thompson was a native and lifelong resident of Santa Rosa County. She was a devoted mother; the wife of the late Andy Thompson; and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Vena Faye and J.R. Levins of Milton, Mollie Wynelle and Tommy Phillips of Pensacola and Ed-dice and Spencer Holmes of Milton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Em-mett and Tommie Thompson and Hubert and Marcelle Thompson, all of Milton; 12 grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren; a sister, Bessie Lee of Milton; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Lewis Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Carrington and the Rev. Franklin Godsey officiating. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery with LEWIS FUNERAL HOME directing.

Pallbearers will be Dudley Smith, Lester Broxson, Doyle Cooper, George Broxson, Ken Griffis, Bruce Stewart, Gordon McKinney and Archie Smith. SHANNON FOX (SMITH) Shannon Fox (Smith), 39, of Pensacola died Wednesday morning, Sept. 22, 1993, at her home after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She was surrounded by her loving children, sister, mother and husband. Shannon was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Hope and the late William Frances Fox. She was a teacher who had taught for the Escambia County School System for several years.

She had an interim break from local teaching when she accepted a CONUS Department of Defense teaching position in Nuernberg, Germany. Shannon was instrumental in setting up the Special Olympics Program within the Bavarian Alps. grand theft. William R. Byrd, 21.

Friday, Sept. 2i NENA E. WEDLUND Nena E. Wedlund, 68, of Tavares died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1993.

Mrs. Wediund was a native of Lake City and had moved to Central Florida from Milton in 1974. She was a retired Second Class Petty Officer, U.S. Navy; a life member of the Disabled American Veterans; was a World War II Navy veteran; and a member of the First Baptist Church of Tavares. Survivors include her husband, Du Wayne of Tavares; two sons, Bill Wedlund of Orange Park and Bruce L.

Wedlund of Apopka; two brothers, Bill Taylor of Orlando and Jim Taylor of Polk City; sister, Anise Tice of Lake City; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11a.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church of Tavares with the Rev. Don Rushing and the Rev. Joe Dowthitt officiating.

Lett is survived by her husband, Thomas L. Wiggins; her mother, Laura Lett; four daughters, Cynthia (James) Poindexter, Ethel Wiggins, Camelia Wiggins and Pamela Wiggins; three sons, Hiawatha (Lula) Wiggins, Willie "Pete" (Dartene) Wiggins and Corporal Darwin Wiggins; sister, Lydia (Richard) Wynder; brother, Evans Lett; eight grandchildren, PaToya, Terrell, Jerrell, LeDarius, Rolondo, Darnell, LaShae and Brittany; and numerous other relatives and friends. Lee Joshua "Josh" Wells, 90, of Vernon passed away Saturday, Sept. 18, 1993, at his residence following a lengthy illness. Mr. Wells was a retired barber and a lifelong resident of Washington County. He was Primitive Baptist by faith and a member of the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Mrs. Ollie Wells of Vernon; four sons, Paul Stanley of Memphis, Tenn Bill Wells of Titusville, Joe Wells of Jacksonville and Bob Wells of Vernon; a daughter, Kathleen Sauers of Pensacola; a brother, Hugh Wells of Bonifay; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 20, at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church with the Revs. C.W.

WEST GRANDISON West Grandison, 77, of Pensacola died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1993, in a local hospital after a short illness. Mr. Grandison was born Feb. 23, 1916, in Camden, to the late Mr.

West Grandison and Mrs. Jannie Madison Grandison. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Exabell Grandison; three daughters, Mary (James) Thomas of Forest Home, Annie (Sammie) Troxley of Hartford, and Yvonnia (John) Griffin of Pensacola; a son, Phillip Grandison of Pensacola; a devoted niece, Lillie Ruth White; and his mother-in-law, Realie Atkins. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept.

25, at Joe Morris and Son Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Clarence Smith, pastor of The House of God Church, officiating. Burial will be in Barrancas National Cemetery. Friday. DOLORES ERMIL HARRISON Dolores Ermil Harrison, 87, of Pensacola died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1993, in a local hospital. Mrs. Harrison was a native of Arcadia, and had lived in Pensacola most of her life.

Survivors include her sons, Al Hani-son, Donald Harrison and Lee Harrison; daughters, Audrey Seals, Evelyn Willis and Kay King; a sister, Lyvonia Naomi Closson; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with the Rev. Jim Burkhardt officiating. Burial will be in Bayview Memorial Park with BAYVIEW FISHER-POU CHAPEL directing.

Friends may call at the funeral home, 3351 Scenic from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. LOIS B. HOFFMAN Lois B. Hoffman, 63, died Wednesday, Sept.

22, 1993, in New Orleans. Mrs. Hoffman was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Hoffman Sr. After her husband's death in 1968, Mrs.

Hoffman raised her family in Pensacola and was a longtime member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Mrs. Hoffman is survived by her children, Charles L. Hoffman Jr.

of Pensacola, William D. Hoffman, Linda A. Hoffman, both of New Orleans, Gerald R. Hoffman of Ft. Walton and John P.

Hoffman of New Orleans; her sisters, Rita B. Evans and Millie B. del Corral, both of New Orleans; and numerous relatives and friends. Funeral services will be noon Friday, Sept. 24, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home Chapel in Metairie, La.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at St. John's Cemetery in Pensacola. HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements..
