She is co- head cheerleader, was selected to Who's Who Among American High School Students; the Society of Distinguished Students; a Governor's Scholar; Most Intellectual; and a senior beauty. She placed fifth at the district science fair. She plans to attend the University of Southern Mississippi and major in medicine. Beverly, who has an overall grade point average of 97.6. is Mendenhall Beta Club treasurer; Math Club president; Student Council treasurer; Youth Advisory Council vice- president; Computer Club vice- president; and a member of the Photo Club, Science Club and Band Rifle Corps.

She was selected to Who's Who Among High School Students, the Society of Distinguished American High School Students, a member of the U.S. Academic Academy and Who's Who in Music. Luncheon, April 19 Miss Angela Magee was honored with a luncheon at the Sundancer Restaurant in Highland Village given by Mrs. Jan Brister of Jackson. A delicious salad, seafood entree and dessert were enjoyed by bridesmaids and friends of the bride -elect. Miscellaneous Color Shower April 17 The patio garden room at the home of Mrs. Clifton Byrd in Mt.

Olive provided the lovely setting for a color shower honoring Miss Angela Magee. Guests were invited to bring a gift in the favorite colors of the bride blue and peach. One of the highlights of the gathering was the bride-to-be being requested to homemade biscuits from 'scratch'. Many and various ingredients were made available. After much dilemma, the biscuits were completed and served to the guests with other outstanding goodies.

Hostesses for the gala party were Mrs. Terri Guthrie of Fort Walton Beach, Fla. and Miss Cathy Leonard and Mrs. Byrd of Mt. Olive.

She is a member of the Mississippi Dental Assistants Association, the Mississippi Dental Hygienist Association, a delegate for the Mississippi Dental Hygienist Association, and a representative of the Mississippi Allied Health Professions Association. Miss Everett is presently, Medical employed at the School Univer- of sity Center, Dentistry as a hygienist and supervisor of dental assistants in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. Mr. White is the grandson of the late Mr.

and Mrs. Everett Dewey Hewett and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. White.

Mr. White graduated from R.H. Watkins High School in Laurel, Jones County Junior College and received his bachelor of science degree from Mississippi State University where he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. Mr. White is employed at Phelps Dodge Cable and Wire Company in the Production Control Department in Starkville.

Mae Ellington of Magee. OBITUARIES Mr. Lewis Rowan Floyd Mr. Lewis Rowan Floyd, 96, of Magee died May 11 at his home. He was a retired farmer and practiced law for 65 years.

Services will be held May 13 at 4 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Guest officiating. Burial is in Corinth Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Survivors include three sons.
