During the regular patriotic procedure, Miss Laurmda Pubishar her report on Washington and Lincoln. Following -meeting Mrs. Alice Smith' Andrews, the leader directed handicraft work. The girls assembled a Valentine tupid doll and a blending heart were with Misses Rosalie Furman and Diane Gittins acting as hostesses. The Valentine motif was carried out.

and Mrs. 'Wickham and Mrs. Margaret Andrews and David attended graduation exercises the S.U.I, fieldhouse on Saturday at which time their son, Ronald Wickham, received his degree in political science. He was the honored guest at a family dinner given at the Carousel restaurant in Coralville. Modern Priscilla Club Entertained in Welsh Home Miss Hazel Welsh was hostess to members of the Modern Priscilla club Friday.

The afternoon was spent sewing and visiting. Fourteen members were present. Mrs. Daryl McCallister was a guest. Refreshments were served at the close of the afternoon.

Meets' The Women's Society of Christian Service was held in the Metho- church parlor Thursday. Mrs. George Riddle was in charge of the worship service. Miss Lesta Lortz presented the lesson which was in the form of a playlet. The lesson was entitled "This Is The Day." The Smorgasbord tentatively set for Feb. 18. has been postponed due to remodeling work in the church kitchen and the uncertainty of the weather. -Si- Niece Honored At Miscellaneous Mrs. Cecil Cranston and Mrs.

Paul Light of Deep River andJMrs. George Schultz of Des Moines entertained at a miscellaneous shower Saturday evening in honor of their niece, Miss Sandra Cranston, who will be married Feb. 13. The affair was held in the home of Mrs. Cecil Cranston and the guest list included relatives and friends near Deep River and vicinity.

Bridal games were played and after opening the many gifts refreshments were served. Decorations and the serving table were in 'keeping with the bride's colors of red and white. Miss Sandra Cranston Honored at A personal shower was given at the home of Miss Judy Stake Thursday evening in honor of Miss Sandra Cranston. Co-hostesses were Mrs. Tom Slaymaker, Miss Janice Stark and Miss Diane Cranston. After the honoree opened her gifts the evening was spent in visiting.

The serving table was decorated in the bride's chosen colors of fed and white, with a Valentine motif of two heart-shaped cakes, red tapers and red aiid white napkins. Teens Enjoy Birthday Ruth Ann Burgy observed her 14th birthday Friday and to celebrate the occasion Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Burgy entertained at an "after the game" supper and slumber party in her honor.
