Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22 at Jesus Name Holiness Church with Rev. Alford LaPrairie and Rev. Bob Ivy officiating. Burial was in Easterling Cemetery with Smith County Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Doris Easterling of Raleigh; three sons, James R. Easterling of Raleigh, Billy R. Easterling of Raleigh, Larry M. Easterling of Raleigh; two daughters, Mrs.

Thelma Bailey of Raleigh, Mrs. Dorothy Powell of Raleigh; five brothers, Andrew Easterling, Ralph Easterling, Hollis Easterling, all Of Raleigh, Dan Easterling of Pulaski, Willie Ray Easterling of Taylorsville; five sisters, Mrs. Roberta Whatley of Raleigh, Mrs. Gladys Mae Netherly of Caldonia, Mrs. Aundean Hegwood of Pearl, Mrs.

Ponder Mr. George T. Ponder, 73, of Mendenhall died Friday, June 20 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. The Simpson County native was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and was a retired Dept. Manager of Sears, Roebuck Co.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 21 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Kenneth West, Rev. Howard Benton and Rev. Carey Cox officiating.
