Warren and two daughters, Mildred Luckey and Judy Lofton, all of Magee. Other survivors include a Mrs. Roma Kennedy, and his mother, Mrs. Nonnie Warren, both of Magee. He also is survived by three grandchildren.

William Scott AOea William Scott Allen. 70. of Rt. 1, ML Olive was pronounced dead on arrival at Magee General Hospital April 15. He was both a native and resident of Smith County, mem- ber of the Fairmount Methodist Church and was a retired farmer.

Services were held Saturday, April 17, at 10 at the New Sardis Baptist Church with the Rev. Giles Hankins, Rev. Willie Johnson and the Rev. Tim Sandford officiating. Interment' followed in the Old Corinth Cemetery under the direction of Mims Mitchell Funeral -Home.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Estell Allen, Rt. 1, Mt, Olive; a son, Robert Lee Allen, also of Rt 1, Mt Olive; and two daughters, Mrs. Bobby (Betty) Eeech, Purvis; and Mrs. Van (Margaret) Sullivan Jr.

Other survivors include a brother, Edward Allen, Mize; and four sisters, Audry Wal-' lace, Mt Olive; Gladys Eason, Mize; Mrs. Mellie Temple, Purvis; and Mrs. Rachel Sullivan, interment following in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home-She is survived by six sons, W. D. Smith, Rt 3.

Mendenhall; Charlie Smith, Magee; Bill Smith. Rt 3, Mendenhall; W. F. Smith, Mendenhall; Dan Smith, Jackson; and Robert Smith, St Angelton, and a daughter, Mrs. Barney Skinner, Rt 3, MendenhalL Other survivors include 47 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-greatgrandchildren.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Johnny Smith, Donnie Smith, Ronnie Smith, Paul Smith, David Smith, Max Skinner, Roger Skinner and Bobby Skinner. Howard B. Floyd Sr. Howard B. Floyd 53, of Magee died at his residence early Wednesday morning following a lengthy illness.

He was a lifetime resident of Simpson County, a veteran of World War having served in the U.S. Marines in the Pacific and was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. Services were held Thursday, April 15, at 4 p.m. at the Corinth Baptist Church with interment following in the Corinth Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs.

Charlene B. Floyd, Magee; two sons, H. B. Floyd Jr. of Craig AFB, Selma, and Marvin' Floyd of Magee; and two daughters, Miss Caroline Floyd, Jackson; and Twila Floyd, Magee.

Other survivors include a granddaughter, his father, L. R. Floyd Sr, Magee; three brothers, W. W. Floyd, J.

W. Floyd, both of Magee; and L. R. Floyd Jr. of Jackson; and three sisters, Mrs.

Bessie Floyd, Magee; Mrs. Gone Curlin, Houston, and Mrs. Zula Farley, San Diego, Calif. Pallbearers were Wilson Floyd, Roy Thomas Floyd, A. W.

Floyd Lewis R. Floyd, Pat Floyd, and Cedrie Floyd. ber of the Bethlehem Church, a veteran of World War and a retired mechanic. Services were held April 20 at 11 a.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Brother Marvin Cox, Brother Jerry Mc-Raney, Brother W.

A. Blair, Brother James Beach and Brother Bob Stewart officiating. Interment followed in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mims Mitchell Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hattie Myers.

Pinola; three sisters, Mrs. Mona Winston, Pinola; Mrs. Purser Bush, Union; and Mrs. Eva Steen, Jackson; and three brothers, Henry Myers, Joe Myers, Mendenhall; and Jim Myers, Pelican, La. Other survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.

WeldoaUeYeager Weldon Lee Yeager, 68, of Taylorsville died at the University Hospital in Jackson Wednesday, April 14, following a lengthy illness. He was a lifetime resident of Smith County, member of the Taylorsville United Methodist Church and had been employed by the Southern Pine Electric Power Association for 15 years. Services were held Saturday, April 17, at 10 a.m. at the Taylorsville United Methodist Church. Interment followed in the Fellowship Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vida Yeager, Taylorsville; four sons, Weldon D. Yeager, John Daly Yeager, Wayne O. Yeager, all of Taylorsville; and Billy Howard of San Francisco, and a daughter, Mrs. Linda Stringer of Taylorsville.

Other survivors include a brother, Burvis Yeager, Taylorsville; and a sister, Mrs. Anthony Anglando, Biloxi. He also is survived by nine grandchflden. Durwood May Durwood May, 49, of Rt 4, Mendenhall died at his residence Sunday afternoon, April 18. He was a lifetime resident of Simpson County, member of the Goodwater Baptist Church, and employed by the Mississippi State Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator.

Olea Andrew Warren Olen Andrew Warren, 69, of Rt 3. Magee died, April 16 at the Magee General Hospital following a short illness. He was a native and resident of Simpson County and was em- and sfleys to be closed in order for said businesses to be located in said area. Section 5. That the petitioner agreed to and the City of Magee does hereby reserve and retain right of way and easement in and to each of said alleys, avenues and streets which are closed for the purpose of constructing therein pubGc utilities such as water mains, sewerage lines, electric tinea, and other such hems, as to said avenues, streets, and aleys not occupied by buildings.

However, the City of Magea shaR not have any right of ways or easements aa to that portion of said avenues, streets, and alleys which wM be occupied by bugs. Further, the City of Magee, Mississippi reserves its right of ways and easements as to all utilities which are now located in said area, and if any of these utilities have to be moved in order to accommodate the then owner or owners, then said owner or owners will re-locate all utilities belonging to the City in accordance with the requirements of the City and at the cost of said owners. Section 6. That active construction must begin in the area where said avenues, streets, and alleys have been closed within 18 months of the date of ordinance; otherwise, this ordi-' nance shall then become nuN, void, and of no effect whatsoever, to the same extent as if this ordinance had never been passed. That the overriding consideration for the enactment of this ordinance, is the agreement of the present and future owners to develop business enterprises in said area, and if said, enterprises are not developed, then' there would be no purpose in closing said avenues, streets, and alleys.

Section 7. That the City Clerk shaK cause this ordinance to be published at least one time In the Magee Courier which is a newspaper authorized by taw to publish legal notices. Section 8. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force as provided by taw. The above and foregoing Ordinance was first reduced to writing and read, considered and approved, section by section, and approved as whole and in its entirety at this the regular public meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen held on this tho 6th day of April, 1976, at the City Hal in Magee, Mississippi; the regular meeting place of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of said City, and the vote on its final passage was taken by "yeas" and A motion to adopt the foregoing ordinance was made by Alder- man E.

O. Berry, and said motion was duly seconded by Aldermen K. V. Mangum. Whereupon, the motion to adopt the foregoing ordinance was put before the Board of Aldermen by Mr.yor G.

O. Runnels, and on rol cal vote. Aldermen E. O. Berry, James R.

Magee, K. V. Mangum, Jos McPhal, and Frank Wade voted "yea" or in favor of the motion and the adoption of the ordinance. Absent and not voting or voting none. The ordinance having received the affirmative vote of si members of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Magee, Mississippi, Mayor G.

D. Runnels declared said ordinance to have been duly adopted and to be in ful force and effect according to its pro- visions. So ordained, this the 6th day of April. 1976. AsG.

Cook, Morton; five daughters, Mrs. Daisey Bishop, Pelahatchie; Mrs. Norma Quick, Brandon; boned that a portion of certain avenues, streets, and alleys be vacated and closed as more specifically hereinafter described. That said petition sets forth that the petitioner is the sole and only interested and abutting tend owner to said avenues, streets, and alleys which are to be vacated and dosed by this ordinance.

That the petitioner waived any and a compensa-tion for vacating and closing said ave-r-jes, streets, and stteys. Section 2. That the Mayor and Board of AkJermeo find and adjudicate that the petitioner, Mrs. 8. A.

Smith, does in fact constitute the sole and only interested end abutting land owner to said avenues, streets, and alleys sought to be dosed and vacated by said petition. Further, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen further find and officially adjudicate that none of said avenues, streets, and alleys have ever been physically opened. Thus, no part of said avenues, streets, or alleys have ever been opened to the traveling public. That due to this, no Inconvenience will re-.

suit to anyone by said avenues, streets, -and alleys being vacated and closed. Further, that there Is still adequate streets, avenues, and highways in said area to accommodate other owners of land in said vicinity. Therefore, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen now affirmatively find and adjudicate that said avenues, streets, and alleys should be vacated and closed as provided by law. Section 3. Willie Runnels, Jackson; Mrs. Cora Lee Herrington, Jackson; and Mrs. Mattie Jennings, Jackson. He also is survived by 15 grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Joe Ware, Bob McNair, Tommy Stubbs, James Garner, Bill Jones and Charlie Warren.

Mrs, Mary Agaeas Howard 1 Mrs. Mary Agness Howard, 56, of Rt 2, Magee, died April 18 at the Magee General Hospital following a short illness. She was a native of Lawrence County, resident of Simpson County and a member of the Strong Hope Baptist Church. Services were held Tuesday, April 20. at the Strong Hope Baptist Church with the Rev.

Lena Mae Mitchell, Wesson; and Mrs. Lola Crawford. Brandon. Daniel C. Myers Daniel Myers, 65, of Rt 1, Pinola, died April 18 at his family residence following a lengthy illness.
