The graduation exercises will be held at 5 p. at Robinson Field.

Degrees to the graduating students will be presented by Dr. R. A. McLemore, president of the college. Students from Magee receiving degrees will be: Bachelor of Science: Ted Pru-itt Allen and Joe Milton Long.

Hord Mrs. Margaret Ann Hord, 86-year-old Smith County resident, died Wednesday, May at her home near Mize. Funeral services were from Union Baptist Church at 10 a. Friday, with the Revs. Oscar Bankston and Gene Fant officiating.

Interment was at Unity cemetery, Center Ridge, with Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in charge. Our mother, Mrs. Laura Brooks Berry, was 83 years of age and we sincerely thank her pastor, Bro. James Holston of Mendenhall Methodist Church and Rev. C.

W. Thompson from Ellisville Baptist Church; Bro. Sutton Smith from Mt. Zion Baptist Church and also Bro. Charles Webb from Magee Baptist Church for their words of comfort.

Ashley, 80-year-old Smith County native, died last Wed nesday afternoon at Bastrop, La The retired farmer was a member of Goodwater Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Oma Ashley of Magee; 4 daughters, Mrs. C. H.

Barr of Bastrop, Mrs. Willie Den nis, Mrs. Robert Sellers and Mrs. O. D.

McAlpin, all of Magee; two brothers, Wilson Ashley and Lonnie Ashley of Mize; three sisters, Mrs. OUie Turner of Magee, Mrs. Oma Ashley of Mize and Mrs. Effie Culiver of Jackson; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Last Rites For Mrs.

C. Dabbs Mrs. Bettye B. Dabbs, long time Magee resident, died at Magee General Hospital May 11, after a lengthy illness. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Magee.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning from the First Baptist Church of Magee, with Rev. Charlie Webb, Rev. E. F. Hicks and Rev.

J. H. Cameron officiating. Interment was at Magee cemetery with Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include her husband, C.

I. Dabbs, Magee; one son, Paul David of Jackson; 3 grandchildren; one brother and seven sisters. MT. OLIVE BANK SCHOLARSHIP GIVEN CLASS SALUTATORIAN Miss Mary Drummond, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

J. P. Drummond, received the Mount Olive Bank Scholarship award at the Tuesday night graduation exercises. The award ws presented by Mr. Normn Stevens, Exec-Vice President of the Mt Olive Bank.

The $500.00 scholarship, created last year by the Board of Directors of the Bank, is awarded annually to a graduating senior of the Mt. Olive School, who is outstanding in scholarship and citizenship. Lawrence Runnels, ministerial student at Clark College, son of Mr. and Mrs. OUie Runnels, was recipient of the scholarship last year.

Mary was salutatorian of the class and received the school citizenship award. She was a Beta Club member, president of the Senior Class, editor of the school annual and county TAP chairman.
