THE DELPHOS CO! LEGION PARTY DRAWS LARGE CROWD SUNDAY Annual Birthday Party Held in 4 Legion Served at P. M. Prog ram and Entertainment Provided Following Pinner Dancing During Eve. nlng. 'Close, to one hundred and fifty people attended the 30th.

annual birthday party given Sunday evening by the American Legion Auxiliary in the Legion hall on North Main street. Dinner was served at o'clock at tables decorated in the keeping of Spring. Yellow daffodils were placed on each table that was trimmed with yellow and green crepe paper. Nut cups also carried out green and yellow theme. The speaker's table was centered with a large decorated birthday cake with 30 candles on top.

Bouquets were also placed on the speaker's table. Mrs. J. C. Keller, department President of Ohio, extended her 'good wishes to the Legion and Auxiliary on the occasion of the.ir 30th.

Their selections which were greatly enjoyed by all follow: "Gotta Put Shoes on Willie," Dolly Wiechart with Gladys Ott, Cyrile Gressel and Betty Bowman. "Blue Eyed Sally," Wiechart, Gressel and Bowman.

Methodist'i Consider New Parsonage Soon At the called meeting of the congregation of the Trinity Methodist church held Sunday morning at the local church for the purpose of discussing the purchase of a new Methodist parsonage. Calvelage, of Port Jennings, died very suddenly at 3:00 a. m. Sunday at her home, following a heart attack. She was born in Fort Jennings, March 8, 1861, the daughter of Carl and Pauline Horstman. At the time of her death she was 88 years and 5 days of age.

On May 5, 1880, she was married at St. Joseph's church, Fort Jennings, to Louis Calvelage. Mr. Calvelage died July 4, 1924. She was a member of St.

Catholic church, Fort Jennings, a member of the Altar Society and of the Sacred Heart league. Surviving arc the following children: Rudolph, Ft. Jennings; Stephen; Lincoln, Nebraska; Mrs. Veronica Schille, at home; Emil, Jackson, Michigan; Laurence, at home; Bernard, and Mrs. Mary Martin, Minneapolis, Minnesota; 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs.

Ben Tebeck, Fort Jennings, and Mrs. Arnold Gerker, Rockford, Michigan. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a. m. Wednesday at St.

Joseph's Catholic church, Fort Jennings. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The remains were removed from the Oscar A. Court Upholds $4,450 Judgment Judgment of the Allen county Common Pleas court in the case of Mrs. Mary Mulvaney against Lima City Lines was affirmed Friday by the Third District Court of Appeals. The cause was remanded to the lower court for execution.

Mrs. Mulvaney was awarded $4,450 from the bus company by a jury in Common Picas Court May in, 1948 for injuries allegedly duo to an accident on V-E day, May 8, She has sued firm 000.
