Repeated efforts to contact Kaleikini for comment were unsuccessful. Identifying the candidate with the highest annual income can't be done precisely because the forms only require disclosure of ranges of pay. For instance, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ben Ca-yetano said he is paid between $50,000 and $100,000.

But Caye-tano's $90,041 salary as Lt. Governor is a matter of public record elsewhere. Best Party governor candidate Frank Fasi, who resigned this year as Honolulu's longtime mayor, said his only income is from federal and Hawaii pensions which total somewhere between GOP candidate Pat Saiki reported, five sources of income which pay her between $71,000 and $160,000 annually. Saiki said she is a consultant and serves on the boards of the Bank of America in Hawaii and Landmark Systems, a Virginia computer software manufacturer. Her running mate, Fred Hemmings, reported receiving between from his sports marketing company.

Cayetano's running mate Mazie Hirono receives $32,000 per year as a state legislator (plus a $5,000 expense allowance) and she reported that she receives another from property rental. All six candidates are landowners. Among the candidates for governor, Fasi's holdings are worth the most $1.32 million according to county property tax assessment figures. Saiki's land holdings are valued at $1.14 million, while Ca-yetano listed a Mililani home valued at $673,300. Green Par-, ty candidate Michael Kioni Dudley owns his own home, which has a tax value of $257,000.

Kaleikini listed 7 properties with a total appraised value of $3.13 million. Hirono co-owns three properties with a total value of $864,200. Hemmings listed his residence, valued at $538,000.. By James Dooley Advertiser Staff Writer Among the six candidates running for governor and lieutenant governor, entertainer Danny Kaleikini reports the greatest personal wealth, including more than $3 million in Hawaii real estate. Kaleikini said his only income is $25,000 to $50,000 paid him for entertaining at the Ka-hala, Hilton Hotel.

The hotel said this week Kaleikini is on leave during the elections but is scheduled to resume singing, there Nov. 17. The numbers are contained in financial disclosure forms filed by candidates this summer, with the state Ethics Com-, The forms are not complete financial statements and do not give anything close to a net worth picture of the candidates. Numerous assets such as savings accounts, stock and bond portfolios, out-of-state investments, and automobiles are not required to be disclosed. And Kaleikini himself does rot appear to have included all of the items which are required to be disclosed on the state form.

The Saiki camp already has launched a new round of newspaper and television advertising following last Saturday's Primary Election. Democratic candidate Ben Cayetano listed $781,419 on hand prior to the Primary Election. Charles Toguchi, Cayetano's campaign coordinator, recently was coy about Caye-.

tano funding going into the general, saying only his candidate would abide by the campaign spending limit of $2.7 million. Hawaii Green Party gubernatorial candidate Kioni Dudley said in his pre-Primary election campaign spending report that his campaign treasury was wiped out. Danny Kaleikini, Best Party Occupation: Entertainer, salary $25,000 $50,000 Other business income: director, Servco Pacific, $1 ,000 $1 director of Duty Free Shoppers, $1 0,000 $25,000 Real estate: 7 properties, worth $1 .1 6 million; $5,000 Debts: none listed by Kaleikini By William Kresnak Advertiser Capitol Bureau It may be the political understatement of the year. When asked whether he would try to raise more money between now and the Nov, 8 General Election to beef up his $2.5 million campaign war chest, Best Party governor candidate Frank Fasi said: "Right now we feel we have enough." Fasi's treasury far outstrips those of his opponents And his Best Party' also has a big chunk of change on hand some $268,000 to bolster Fasi's, gubernatorial bid, based on reports filed with the state Campaign Spending Commission earlier this month. Fasi already is advertising heavily.

Whatever money he has. left after the election can remain in his campaign account. But he can't use the mpney personally, even if he loses. If he closes the campaign file he must give the money to charity. While campaign is down on with $350,482 listed at last report, campaign officials are i Gov.
