Earl M. Baker, Freda Zager. Farmers (Continued From Page One) beans this fall, and if we produce this surplus, we'll have disastrous prices," said Gall Hemmingsen, an Akron farmer. He said the Ford Administration has urged all-out production by farmers, and that the U.S. Department of Agriculture is "asking a 6.5-billionbushel corn crop.

We have 4.7 billion bushels in 1974, and now we have corn reduced in price by more than $1 a bushel since last fall. We're scared to death of what that price would drop to if we had full production." Farmers from Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri and Illinois were at the meeting. They were asked to set aside 10 per cent or more of their total 1975 intended corn and soy. bean acres, and that those acres would be used for conservation practices, growing oats for hay, or plowing the ground to build up soil nutrients.
