Voters nominated candidates from various parties to run in the Nov. 3 general election. Nonpartisan candidates could qualify for the general election. Hawaii offices up for election this year are: Governor and lieutenant governor; one U.S.

Senate seat; both seats in the U.S. House; 13 of 25 state Senate seats; all 51 state House seats; six of 13 Board of Education seats; all nine Honolulu council seats; all nine Hawaii County council seats; mayor and all nine council seats in Maui County; and mayor and all seven council seats in Kauai County.
