For the last three years, "60 Minutes" has appeared on Sunday an hour earlier, at 6 tn. EST, except during the summers, when it had different starting times, and during the pro football season, when it has'lelt the air because football overlap into its time period.

It now faces two prime evening tame shows, NBC's veteran Walt Disney series and ABC's new "Swiss Family Robinson." Excluding the past three summers', when it appeared each week in prime time, this will he the first season ".60 Minutes" has had a weekly broadcast in prime time since it began in September 1968. II it does well in its new time period, it'll stay there on a year-round basis, says Lee Currlin, CBS' programming chief. Why is it now starting at 7 p.m. EST?
