O. SallatedV, the artist. In calling the meeting to Order the President, Dr. Edward Storek, stated that the deceased had held positions ot honor sad trust la the city, and genial and kind during hi life. Dr.

Rochester said he had attended Dr. Scott during bis last illnesa. He knew him aot as a practitioner but as an honorable and upright man. He had a. remarkable facility for mechanism, and to whatever he applied himself be waa sueceesfuW He was man of great integrity and moral worth, and will be mnch mimed In local circles.

He and Dr. Valentine Mott were the only member of the graduating das at Dartmouth College. Dr. Julius F. Kiner remembered that Dr.

Scott once gave him the Lftrds Prayer written within a eothpaa tbe size of a ten-cent piece, at Hie time aarting that he could write the New Testament upon a etrcl as large as a twenty-Are eent coin. But few persons knew him as a practitioner of medicine. Hi period of usefulness had passed before any of the physicians present commenced the practice. The speaker had visited Dr. Scott more than a year ago, at which time be wa totally blind and be remerabered him in early life when he frequently called at hi office, alway having aomething'of Interest to present.

Dr. H. N. Loom is came to Buffalo the same year with Dr. Scott and they had known each other in practice.

Tbe deceased wa a kind and generous man. Dr. James P. White said there were only two other physician beside himself who had long been member of the medical society and these were Dr. Scott and Dr.

Loom Is, tbe previous ipeaker. Dr. Scott, however, went Into other pursuit. Between 1840 and 1880 be saw a great deal of Dr. Scott.

In all respect he wa a man of progress, and it-Is source ot regret that be did not continue In the practice of medicine. He wa a man whom it wa alway pleasant to meet. He once gave the speaker a volume of hi writing, which were, read with a great deal of pleasure end profit. Dr. WyckoB had known the deceased and always took pleasure In meeting blm.
