The Misses Sara Couitney, Louke Tiano and Vera Butler accompanied Toy George Badenhausen of Edwards- iville. William Huntei and Junior JCnapp attended the Elks dance in Jjitchfield Christmas night. Mrs. P. Williamson and Mis Willoughby spent Monday aftei- noou in Gillespie.

The ring ceremony was employed. The bride has been -working in Chicago and had just returned to spend Christmas with her parents. Just a short time before 6 o'clock, she announced thit their marriage would take place shoitly which came as a surprise to all. Miss Buescher was attired in a becoming dress of blue georgette with hat to match. Her Bister Misd Anna, Buescher of Chicago who was biidepmaid wore a tan georgette dress with hat to match.

Walter Buescher the brides brother was the crooms attendant. The couple left for a short honeymoon trip after which they will reside in Staunton where the groom is employed at mine No 2. Mr. and Mrs H. H.

L. Dawson who recently underwent a blood transfusion at the High and hospital -was brought to his icrne here in an improved condition and under medical treatment is expected to continue to improve and recovery now is hoped for. The remains of six members of the Lang family some of who died over ifty years ago weie disinterred last week and removed to the Hellefon- taine cemetery in St. Louis where the surviving members of the family who are Mrs. Henreitta Lang and sons Bert Ben Lang and Miss Ada Lang have resided for many years.

The husband and father James Lang died in 1881 and the children an unnamed infant and James Jr. Thomas, Cora and Nellie who was the last to die. The disinterment was under the supervision of H. C. Keuker and witnessed by Bert H.

Lang of St. Louis. Mr. and Mrs. William Bagliu and Mrs.

Pricilla Blecher left Saturday for a visit over the holidays with le- latives in Detroit. Mrs. Sarena B. Wild attended the funeral of her cousin Mrs. Kittif Course of Venice who died in St Elizabeth's hospital at Granite City after an illness of 24 hours of double pneumonia and was bulled in the Glenwood cemetery at Collinsville Wednesday afternoon.
